How I'm making money with Plus500 - The Cash Diaries

How I’ve lost everything

I’m only 25 this year, ever since I was young, I’ve always loved to gamble, take risks, doing dares anything that ever involves the chance to win / lose! The greater the risk the more intense it gets, but i never back down or run. When i first turned 18 the legal age to gamble in Australia, I visited Crown Casino, placing small bets winning and losing, it was all for pure entertainment and just loved every moment i was there. As the years passed, my bets got bigger, when i started earning more money i started betting bigger, I’ve gambled on everything, sportsbet bet, bitcoin, bitmex, plus500, stocks, everything you can think of, even runescape ! Looking back I’ve lost over $300,000 aud, it’s a lot of money, I’ve worked so hard yet all i did was gamble away that money! Over 40k in debts, credit card, personal loans, friends everything! It’s bad losing my own money, but this year it spiralled down hill, my family sold our house to start a family restaurant, we all committed hard working up to 80-90hrs per week. Everyone’s so committed, they all trust me to handle all the family funds and yet I’ve managed to lose everything, our entire house saving sold invested into our restaurant, it’s been almost a year we should have made over $150,000 yet instead of that + house savings when i check my account there is only 50k debt, I cannot tell anyone the truth, it would destroy us my family our work our future, I’ve promised to quit so many times, I’ve fully excluded myself from all online bookies, then found bitcoin, lost 50k + on that then closed my account, to lose 30k + on runescape, 100k at casino I dunno how i can live anymore!
I don’t want my family to find out, I don’t want to break everything we’ve worked for, I just want to start again but I’m not sure how, with so much debt and family planning to buy a house, what can i do, the truth will destroy everything! My family cannot handle such a big shock, this year alone is where I’ve lost everything! I regret it so much, telling the truth is impossible! I have promised to quit this time once and for all 110% dedicate my time into our business and build it, but if the truth comes out when we try to buy our new house they will be broken. I’m trying to fight my depression and regrets all alone it’s hard
Don’t gamble guys, it’s not worth it, little entertainment is not worth a life time of regrets and breaking those closest to you!

My story: How I discovery best long term investment by accident (ICON)

Hello everyone, today we have another lazy day on market so I thought to share with you my story about how I discovery ICON and how I transform my self from "moonboy to real long term investor"

Let's start from the beginning, My investment journey start at the beginning of 2017 when I decided to invest some money (not crypto at this time) I was looking for some bussines online back then to make a passive income. I met the right man who show me best bussiness at this time, so we started cooperate together and he became my friend in bussiness, He was in crypto at the time and he stared to talking about bitcoin.. but I'm was not too much interested, online business was more "confident" for me so i put money in the business rather than in crypto, I started to learn about investing and I was checking everything from Stock to Crypto, and I open my demo account on plus500 just for fun to check how my investment can works together, then first time I saw Ethereum on plus500, it cost about $ 30 and daily i started checking the price, and everyday was more and more, and I started to wonder "what the hell is this ?" 50$,60$,70$... And I just watched how ETH grow day by day and I don't buy nothing (Even don't know how to buy crypto) I was in my online business and earning good money then... and the worst decision ever came, I buy my first BTC almost on PEAK in december 2017... my friend told me to buy TRON, i put 2,5$k in tron, next day morning I see a 6k$ on my account and I was thinking (what ?! this is so easy brah ! in this tempo i will be millionaire in 2 yrs !) Im was buying IOTA for 4$.. and maybe 2 weeks later, everything just CRASH like water in the toilet. Also I was investing then in mining farm.. and someone has robbed the mining farm for about 5mln $, guy who was worker there stolen all crypto from wallets.. right after maybe 8 weeks my investment. So basically I lost a lot of money back then, I started doing trading in order to recover some money form this crash.. so I just jump form coin to coin to make some extra $ and by accident i buy ICON in march 2018 when I see a great pump, for my ICX was just coin who can recover some my money,I hold some but I don't knowing nothing about ICON back then. April 2018 ICX was going up like crazy so i started digging about this project and i was more and more intrigued, people call ICON "korean ethereum) "next NEO) , ICX will be worth 100$ soon.. etc I started reading whitepaper form ICON (first time im was reading whitepaper) becasue of ICON i actually started learning about blockchain and future use cases, how blockchain will change the world and why ICON is one of this players who will become very sucessful in the future, backing by the government, backing by DAYLI, one of the largest team in the space, how they wanna hyperconnect the world.. it became clear to me day by day that ICON is the future of this technology, so I decided to cash out all of my money from online bussiness, sell all my portfolio with other cryptos and buy ICX as much as I can during this bear market, so i buying ICON since march 2018 till today, some people can call my crazy, but I know I do the right thing in next few years we will be a big part of this blockchain revolution and for me is very clear that we (ICON) will be the leader in this space, no doubt about that, overall all this prices, market sentiment, im happy to be here with you guys, we are the one who will hyperceonnect the world. Enjoy the process, have nice day guys !

Sorry for some mistakes (english is not my first language) Cheers !

How to Margin Trade on Bitfinex - a Short Guide Based on my Experiences

Disclaimer: margin trading is gambling with lent money. However, on bitfinex you have your deposit as a collateral for your loans, so you will at most lose your deposit amount.
I recently tried bitfinex, and was amazed how effortless it was to use, and also how cheap credit you can get there - USD loans (swaps) are offered around 0,05% per day, and bitcoin swaps are offered much much lower. So if you want to short, it is very cheap, longing is quite cheap still in my opinion but more expensive than shorting. Trading fees are 0,1% per trade for liquidity providers and 0,2% for "takers" (market order). The fees are definitely from the lower spectrum in bitcoin services.
Basically there are couple of use cases for margin trading. Mine was that I wanted to hedge my long position - I don't have any fiat left to invest to Bitcoin and have been all-in for some time, but still saw that now might be a good time to invest. Therefore I decided to go for a loan. A normal bank would never have given me a loan to trade bitcoins, but on bitfinex it is possible. Of course there is a risk, but I'm willing to lose my collateral.
Second use case is shorting. Basically you want to benefit from the falling Bitcoin price. You take BTC loan, sell the BTC, buy them back when price is cheaper, pay back your loan and take the profit.
Third use-case is being a lender, and earning modest income on your deposit. You can lend money under "Total return swaps" tab. Theoretically you can lose money, if traders lose the money on slippage - however I'm not well aware of exact risks involved. As there seems to be plenty of loans available on both BTC and USD, it looks like the lenders trust both bitfinex and those currencies. Litecoin doesn't have as good rates, and the litecoin-nominated loans are very expensive - this probably indicates that Litecoin holders don't trust litecoin.
Fourth use case is using bitfinex as a normal bitcoin exchange. Bitfinex prices seem to be a little below bitstamp, so it could be a good place to buy bitcoins. Currently I wouldn't recommend it for selling bitcoins, as prices tend to be constantly under bitstamp.
To trade on margin, just go to "Margin Trade" tab, and place an order. There are several order types, but limit and market orders are sufficient for normal speculator. It is very easy - you don't have to manage your loans, the system will take them automatically when you put a margin order in.
Disclaimer: Remember the bitcoinica fiasko, and that margin trading is generally very risky. However if you are willing to risk it, happy speculating, and best of luck!

10 million in disappears in 10 Minutes

www.trading212.com
I would like to bring to your attention our newly form concerned citizens group called the people vs Trading212. Trading212 offers a cfd product in they're trading platform that allows you to buy contracts on the cryptocurrency Bitcoin Cash. Many of us are cryptocurrency enthusiasts and joined the platform to trade these products. This weekend was a well documented launch of the bitcoin cash currency and it was also well documented that it was going to cause some disruption. I can only speak for myself by saying I found Trading212 because they had this product and set up an account. Much like the peg of the Swiss franc 2 years ago it was an opportunity trade volatility. Many of us traded all day Saturday until 7am Sunday. You per se an example of my screenshot below 6:52 am.
So at around 6:50 Trading212 halted trading on the product as the price went very hight and 90% of people were long according to data I saw. I knew trading was halted because I clicked the close all button and got an error message saying trading was halted. So I waited a few minutes clicked again still halted. I was worried for the companies ability to payout traders so I requested two 5k withdrawals out of my 10,624.82 free funds which were not tied up in any way. At this point while trading was halted Trading212 closed the 4 trades above and don’t feel obligated to pay me on the trades I was closing at the time they halted. It was the end of the asian trading session basically when I personally was finished. So now I am waiting for them to payout the 10k requested as well as 9-20k of positions above and they are declining to do this. But what is also interesting is that later in the day in my results I found records that they had come up with a settlement which you can see below:
So this sequence of events which happened to all of us goes like this:
Halt trading Consumer takes out what he can incase they go bankrupt. Then they close you're winning positions because of insufficient funds.
I think we all feel betrayed and we have lost a substantial amount of money.
Now the company will only respond to us through the chat app and basically say too bad guys.
There are tons of stories from our group which we can share with you. We want our money back and we don’t want this to happen again. Dan from flat alpha wrote a similar story about Plus500 during the Swiss franc peg.
Our question to you is can you help us stand up for ourselves and is this in violation of FSA policy.
By covering our story in the media tomorrow it will help shed light on these blackhole trading sites that make up rules to their advantage when they need them. Sadly, I think they take advantage of people everyday who want to have a crack at forex or stocks but they do not realise they are just gambling in a rigged casino and will surely lose their deposits. Our group was able trade successfully and we will not be taken advantage of and many of us believe that their may be criminal charges uncovered by decision makers at Trading212.
Just to give you an idea our group ranges from 18 year olds who lost all of their savings to experienced teams of investors. We estimate our group alone lost close to 10 million in deposits and trade revenue

Bitcoin Shares Via Plus500 app. Few Questions, Get in here!

Good evening all, a quick introduction and then ill list my questions.
So firstly, Me and a few of the lads from work all started conversing over the stock market, and how we can invest to make money long term/ short term, and all the different methods regarding it.
So we all have this app "Plus500" We started with the free play money, learnt a few things and we were away.
We moved to real money. I started with a deposit of $300.00
I made great quick returns trading forex, just buying low and selling high. But we were super interested in bitcoin. I had been doing my research for a while and i jumped on board at $4,500 mark.
Im now sitting on $3000 equity. But i dont feel safe due to the review on this app. Ive purchased a Ledger Nano S and i am hunting for a good website which i can buy myself BTC for AUSTRALIANS.
Soo questions are as followed
1) Should i cash out and use that money to buy actual BTC coinage. Or HODL due to the rate i purchased it at.
I would much rather actually own a percentage of a coin not just a share off some random app.
2) best possible , user friendly website for myself to buy BTC and other cryptocurrencies is what? (Available for Australians.)
Thanks guys,

    1. Bitfinex announcement about issuing BT1 & BT2 "Chain Split Tokens" to allow Futures trading. (BT1 = Segwit1x; BT2 = Segwit2x) (172 points, 173 comments)
    2. By proving that it can be done (getting rid of Core) this will set a HUUGE precedent and milestone that dev teams and even outright censorship cannot overtake Bitcoin. That will be an extremely bullish occasionfor all crypto. (149 points, 84 comments)
    3. Bitfinex is going to call Segwit2x coins "B2X" and let Core chain retain "BTC" ticker symbol. Bitfinex is therefore calling Segwit2x an altcoin and Core the "real chain". (138 points, 70 comments)
    4. The goal of all the forks appears to be to dilute investment in the true forks: Bitcoin Cash and Segwit2x. A sort of Scorched Earth approach by Blockstream. They are going to try to tear down Bitcoin as they get removed. (35 points, 11 comments)
    5. Blockstream be like (10 points, 11 comments)
    6. In light of all these upcoming forks, we need a site where you can put in a BTC address and it checks ALL the forks and says which chains still have a balance for that address. This way you can split your coins and send coins carefully. (6 points, 6 comments)

    3. According to Crooked Greg, Jeff merging opt-in replay protection is "alarming", because it must mean Jeff wants to blacklist people's addresses too. Core devs keep lying and manipulating to stir more drama and further the split in the community. Disgusting! (75 points, 16 comments)

Beginner question: Do you really own stocks and commodities when investing ?

I've recently came to this question when I was looking for BTC trading options. Plus500 allows to invest in BTC but the SELL/BUY orders are executed in a seconds while in reality it takes hours to transfer Bitcoins from one address to another (So it is different from trading options such as MtGox, btc-e, ... where it is necessary to have bitcoins sitting in your account). Therefore I suspect that no bitcoins are transferred or owned. It is just a game with numbers. There is no way it is different from sports betting and so.
Is it really so? How about other stocks and commodities? Do you own them physically?
I am just a curious and /investing should be the best place to ask so thank you all for your answers.
