Adrafinil vs Modafinil - The Definitive Reddit Guide

What is Modafinil?

Modafinil is a eugeroic – or, simply, a wakefulness-promoting agent – with a primary purpose of combating narcolepsy amongst suffers. Eugeroics differ from other stimulants because they are considered relatively non-addictive. This means that they do not cause the typical side effects experienced with most stimulants, like agitation and nervousness.
Let us first discuss the chemical components of Modafinil. It is a racemic mixture, and such mixtures have equal amounts of left- and right-handed enantiomers. Enantiomers are the two forms in which large numbers of chemicals exist. Both forms are chemically and structurally identical, yet are nevertheless mirror images of the other. In other words, enantiomers are the ‘left’ and ‘right’ versions of a drug. These are called S and R enantiomers. One enantiomer is typically responsible for the majority of a drug’s effects, while the other can contribute to those positive effects. In other cases, the less dominant enantiomer can cause adverse side effects, or it be inert.
Interestingly Modafinil Most racemic mixtures are balanced equally. This means half of the mixture is ‘left’ enantiomer and the other half is ‘right’. Modafinil is an equal combination of its S- and R- enantiomers, meaning that both have a psychoactive function. Just as you sometimes need two hands to do a job correctly, Modafinil uses both of its enantiomers to provide the ideal effect on body and mind.
Preliminary scientific evidence has found that Modafinil works through histamine signaling. This phrase might indeed baffle you if you aren’t familiar with biological terminology. What this essentially means is that the histamine receptors, found for example in the central nervous system, are provoked. Michael J Minzenberg and Cameron S Carter’s journal provides ample scientific research on Modafinil’s neurochemical actions and effects.
Histamine acts a neurotransmitter, a chemical substance which is released at the end of a nerve fibre by the arrival of a nerve impulse. Neurotransmitters affect the transfer of the impulse to another nerve fibre, muscle fibre, or some other structure within the body. Modafinil enhances histamine activity by stimulating the central system. This increased activity therefore impacts other nerve fibres/muscle fibres in the body, accounting for its ability to stimulate a fatigued body.
As well as fighting tiredness, Modafinil also improves general mood and well-being amongst users, with positive improvements seen with mental focus, analytic capability and memory recall and retention.
Britain deems Modafinil a prescription-only drug. In America, meanwhile, Modafinil’s brand name is Provigil. It is considered a scheduled drug, meaning that it necessitates a prescription in order to obtain it legally.

What is Adrafinil?

Adrafinil is a pro-drug to Modafinil. This simply means that supplementation of it increases concentrations of Modafinil in the body. The liver changes Adrafinil to Modafinil.
Similarly to Modafinil, Adrafinil’s cognitive benefits are enhanced by noted improvements in day-time alertness, motivation, mood and energy levels. It also does not generate the irritability, anxiousness and nervousness routinely experienced through the use of other stimulants.
Britain does not measure Adrafinil under the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971, a legislation that governs the regulation of drugs. This means that it is not regulated. Adrafinil’s legal status and nootropics in general, nevertheless remains in grey area. It is lawful for purchase by British residents, but only for personal use. In the U.S, however, the drug is currently legal and can be bought, prescription free, as an alternative to Modafinil. Though its manufactured moniker Olmifon was discontinued in 2011, Adrafinil itself can still be purchased easily online.

Why do they differ?

Modafinil and Adrafinil are two of the most popular stimulants available. Though both offer similar if not identical cognitive benefits, there are key distinctions between both.
Chemically speaking, the structures of both drugs are very similar:

Adrafinil Structure
It is, however, with the body’s processing of each drug that differences become most apparent. Modafinil is processed through metabolic activity occurring mainly in the liver. Lesser contributions to the metabolising process are made through the activity of the enzyme cytochrome P450 (CYP). Cytochrome p-450 (often abbreviated “CYP”) is a class of enzymes that is involved in the metabolism of many medications and is located primarily in the liver.
But, what exactly are enzymes? They exist in living organisms and catalyze specific biochemical reactions within the body. At the beginning of a reaction process, molecules exist called ‘substrates’. The enzyme converts these into ‘products’. All metabolic processes in cells require enzymes to react within the body at rates fast enough to sustain life.
Adrafinil differs because it is changed into Modafinil in the liver. This means that it relies on greater enzyme activity to process correctly and efficiently.
The conversion process of Adrafinil and Modafinil sees the former breaking down into the latter as a compound. This is how it is metabolized. Enzymes are relied upon more during the metabolic process of Adrafinil. As mentioned briefly in the metabolism of Modafinil, the enzyme involved in metabolizing Adrafinil when it reaches the liver is Cytochrome p-450.
How quickly the liver is able to convert Adrafinil is dependent upon metabolic rate and the efficiency of the liver overall. Two people of the same sex, similar age and weight can take the same dose of Adrafinil but achieve very different results.
In necessitating a more rigorous metabolism process, the most profound difference between Modafinil and Adrafinil is that the latter requires the greater use of Cytochrome p-450. Over time, if the drug is not taken cyclically, such enzymes can build up in the liver with potentially damaging effects on the organ as a whole.

Adrafinil vs Modafinil Dosage

For Adrafinil, it as advised to dose between 600 to 1200mg per day. It is further advised, as with the majority of supplements, to begin on a low dose, only increasing the amount after recognizing your own body’s reaction and tolerance. Adrafinil should not be taken in the afternoon and evening to prevent a sleepless night. Ideally, it should be taken 3 times a week and for no longer than five months. This is primarily to prevent side effects, tolerance and the build-up of enzymes in the liver.
Examine.com state that Adrafinil’s recommended dosage range is vast, ranging from 600 to 1,200mg. BodhiSvaha on erowid.org explained their willingness to take both small doses and larger ones of Adrafinil:
After extensive experimentation with dosage, I have settled on taking 300mg when I wake up and another 300 mg in the early afternoon. There does not seem to be much, if any, habituation or tolerance created by Adrafinil. Occasionally I will take doses up to 1200 mg when a high degree of concentration is required. I have found this dose to be very effective at potentiating and improving the tryptamine experience, in particular. I find tryps sometimes bring a feeling of lethargy or body load with some cognitive dullness. Adrafinil counters this effect very nicely.
Here it is evident that, despite there being a large range of recommended doses for Adrafinil, all of them are safe. Whatever you choose within that range is dependent on your desired alertness and bodily tolerance. Reddit user ssitimefill explains the necessity of slowly upping Adrafinil dosage, as well as suggesting why a higher dose than Modafinil is required:
To my knowledge it is not established how what proportion of adrafinil is broken down into modafinil and what proportion into modafinilic acid. This proportion likely varies person to person, and also by dose. Some studies have reported adrafinil more potent at lower doses. The general psychological effect of adrafinil depends not only on the quantity converted into modafinil but the rate of this conversion. 300 mg of modafinil from adrafinil is not likely to produce an identical effect from 300 mg of modafinil. Basically there is no way to determine optimum dose of adrafinil other than trial and error. The best procedure is to start with low doses (measured via scale) and slowly increase dose until you reach the optimal, then sub-optimal dose. When you have reached sub-optimal dose (too much adrafinil) you can deduce what dose is optimal for you.
Because Modafinil does not transform in the liver, it generally requires lesser dosage to reach its optimum effect. Modafinil is typically sold in 100 mg or 200 mg tablets. The latter option is more popular due to its greater availability. 200 mg is indeed the recommended dose, to be taken once per day, usually during the morning. It may be taken with or without food. (nootriment.com)
Some recommend starting with an initial intake of 100 mg Modafinil dosage. This helps with accustoming the body to the drug itself. An anonymous writer on erowid.org posted his first use of 100mg Modafinil, describing its positive effects:
And today I tried modafinil 100 mg for the first time. I took it at around 10:45 AM today and it is now 4:35 PM. My experience has been much like those of others herein described– initial buzziness (~1 hr after I took the pill) that lasted about as long. But for the past 4 hours, I have been just plain awake. I have not succumbed to the usual desire to take a nap in the afternoons despite the near-90-degree heat, which usually puts me right to sleep. I have had no such desire in fact. I am not jittery or having unusual thoughts, etc.
It is also possible to take higher doses. Up to 400 mg per day has been shown to be very well-tolerated. Pino on drugs-forum tried a variety of dosages and provides some succinct information of the results:
Combinations:
200 mg modafinil + caffeine: Pleasant vibe, easy and fast thinking. Able to solve sudokus a lot quicker. The bus driver becomes more self reassured in conversations and is able to focus more than 16 hours. Sleep quality is ok. (bp: 130/80) 200 mg modafinil + too much caffeine (4 cups of coffee): Anxiousness and some hypertension kicks in here. (bp: 140/93) Concentration is less than optimal in this region. 400 mg modafinil + normal caffeine: Nice euphoria, but can also turn into anxiousness.
It is clear that the recommended doses are speculative and dependent on personal accounts of drug use. There are certainly more user reviews around the internet that explain individual experiences of alternating dosage amounts. There is, of course, still the question of the differences in dosage between Modafinil and Adrafinil. Jjhurley on Reddit discussed the differences in dosage between both:
… most people tell me 300mg of adra is comparable to just 100mg of moda. Whether your ratio or this other ratio is correct doesn’t make too much a difference, but I have been taking 600mg of adra and don’t want to lose any potency. Is this to say I should go with 300-400mg of moda? If so, that’s a little upsetting because I was really hoping to have equal, if not better, experiences on just 200mg of moda.
ProfWiki agreed that Adrafinil should be taken in higher dosages than Modafinil:
I take 600 mg in order to get effects. This is equivalent to about 200 mg of modafinil. I think throwf0 read you as saying modafinil since he mentioned modafinil. Modafinil is a lot stronger than adrafinil. 150 mg of adrafinil would be about like 50 mg of adrafinil. Anyway, like I said, 50 mg of Adrafinil is far too lose to be effective. 50 mg of MODAfinil might work okay for some but they typically are just breaking up a standard 100/200 mg dose. Being that Adrafinil works by metabolizing into Modafinil, and that as a rule of thumb 1/3 of Adrafinil turns into modafinil, a 50 mg dose of Adrafinil would be just roughly 16-17 mg of modafinil. There wouldn’t be any effects from such a low level dose.

Adrafinil vs Provigil

Let us first make one distinction:
Adrafinil = generic drug Provigil = brand name of Modafinil
It is often questioned what the difference between Provigil and Adrafinil is. However, the former is simply a branded name for the generic drug Modafinil, which, as we have now found, is the metabolite of Adrafinil. So long as users are acquiring pure generic versions of Adrafinil, then the same effects as Provigil will be felt and the advised dosage will essentially be identical.
It is therefore not unusual for potential users to question the differences between Provigil and Adrafinil. Moreover, it is certainly not unreasonable to question their differences. For instance, internet user Shatneresque questioned the difference between Modafinil and Provigil, which are the same drug, asking:
My pharmacy sent me a email saying I can now replace my Provigil ($125 a month) with the generic version and they need my okay to do so. Before I say yes and say the money, I want to know if anyone has noticed any differences. I am very happy with the provigil and have been taking it for several years.
This query was answered by Serpens:
It appears that Cephalon, the maker of Provigil, has been purchased by Teva, titan generic manufacturer. There are currently three manufacturers selling a generic labeled ‘modafinil’ : Cephalon (brand holder), Teva, and Par. All three are using the same brand name NDA license on file with the FDA. In addition, Elsevier’s Clinical Pharmacology has images and references available for the generic product being shipped for all three drug companies. They’re all the same pill. Images of all three products show a white oblong tablet with “Provigil” on one side, and the strength on the other. All products have the same inactive ingredients.
Queries like this prove that caution is imperative when deciding on which supplement to use. This is especially true if you are a first time user or are, like Shatneresque, accustomed to using one particular brand such as Provigil. Researching alternatives and finding the most information about whatever drug you are choosing is vital if you are to select the right one for you. Awareness is the key and there is no harm in asking questions that, to you, may sound obvious once they are answered.

About Provigil

Provigil was originally manufactured by Cephalon, the same company behind the previously branded version of Adrafinil (Olmifon). Business editor Dell Poncet writes of how, in 1999, interest for both Cephalon and Provigil was taking off, with registered quarterly sales of $10.7 million. Being among the leading biopharmaceutical companies in the world, Cephalon flourished. In 2011, it was acquired by Teva, the largest generic drug manufacturer in the world for a huge $6.8 billion (read more here). There is little surprise, then, that Provigil is sold at quite a cost.
A 30-day supply of Provigil 200mg pills can cost as much as $1500. Buyers in the UK can therefore expect to pay even more if the pharmacy offers world-wide shipping.
Since branded Modafinil is so expensive, Adrafinil is clearly the best alternative. The latter drug does not come attached to a manufactured title, and is inexpensive yet easily attainable. What is more, it can be bought prescription-free online or by phone. There are plenty of legitimate outlets stocking Adrafinil and these can be accessed at the click of a button. If economizing is one aspect of importance, then Adrafinil is certainly the best choice.

Modafinil in India

More importantly health-wise, though, is the scary possibility of purchasing a dodgy-version of branded Modafinil online. With the cost of Provigil being so high, it is unsurprising that many prospective users look for a cheaper alternative for their first time trying the drug. Many turn to the internet’s grey market, where there is a lingering risk of being ripped off with tampered drugs. This is where extra caution and care should be applied.
Once users began contemplating off-label equivalents, international pharmacy websites quickly took the opportunity to sell these kinds of drugs. The most popular location from which many internet users buy unbranded Modafinil is India. Sources of the drug in India do not require strict quality control, nor are prescriptions required by users.
In fact, there is much information to be considered with regard to India’s counterfeit drugs market. This article on New York Times discusses how:
India’s drug industry is one of the country’s most important economic engines, exporting $15 billion in products annually, and some of its factories are world-class, virtually undistinguishable from their counterparts in the West. But others suffer from serious quality control problems. The World Health Organization estimated that one in five drugs made in India are fakes. A 2010 survey of New Delhi pharmacies found that 12 percent of sampled drugs were spurious.
Meanwhile, this article on safemedsonline.org attests to the New York Times’ discussion, stating that:
The Food and Drug Administration recently conducted a series of raids in India to uncover counterfeit drugs. The raids yielded large quantities of substandard medicines and resulted in several arrests. However, in India, the penalties for making and selling counterfeit medicines are minimal, the convictions are rare, and the profits are enormous. Since the raids late last year, the problem has only gotten worse.
Alarm bells should definitely ring here. Without quality control, many drugs that appear on international websites do not contain legitimate ingredients. It is a huge gamble to assume your purchased pills are pure or authentic. There’s a great possibility that you might not experience the proper effects of the medication and there is serious potential that you may have toxic reactions to the ingredients in fake versions of the drug. Some websites and online Nootropics communities maintain lists of verified and trustworthy Modafinil vendors, but such vendors do not generally stay on the lists for long. In many cases, a trusted supplier can end up sending out a fake or ineffective batch of pills even after you have developed a long-standing relationship with them. It is almost impossible to protect against this risk.
There is really only one sensible alternative if you find the price of Provigil unreasonable, or if you are contemplating buying potentially contaminated off-label versions from India. Users should purchase Adrafinil from a reputable supplier instead, rather than paying the very serious costs of purchasing from an unreliable source abroad.

Adrafinil vs Modafinil forum

There are many reviews across the internet on individual preferences: Adrafinil or Modafinil. It is all, of course, subjective to user experience. Whilst some remain skeptical towards the newer of the two drugs, Adrafinil, there are huge amounts of successful reviews to be considered. On reddit, jjhurley writes:
Long story short, today is just my 3rd day using adrafinil and I’m impressed with the results so far. I keep reading from people who’ve experienced both adra & moda is that they prefer modafinil. To me it is surprising there would be a whole lot of difference given what we know about adrafinil converting to modafinil once in your system. I understand the conversion takes time but I wouldn’t think that to make a significant impact to different effects.
It is also important to remember that Adrafinil is converted into Modafinil once in the liver. Many users therefore experience the same results with both drugs, and are positive in their opinions of both. DoyouknowmyPW on Reddit concurs, stating that:
I’ve been using Adrafinil and Modafinil for a few weeks now during the workweek. 100-150mg for Modafinil, 200-270 for Adrafinil. I’ve never noticed any painful side-effects, might just be a coincidence. Sharp pain like that could be trapped gas (of course I am not a physician though!). It does help greatly staying more alert during the day. Before I would have issues some days where I am truly struggling to keep my eyes open, especially during meetings. I’ve fallen asleep at least twice for a brief second because my eyes were just too heavy. Since I’ve been taking the morning dose that sleepiness has gone away and I am now on a better sleep schedule because I feel tired when I’m suppose to.
Some users speak of branded versions of the drugs. For example, Akoward on drugs-forum writes:
Recently got a hold of some Nuvigil. Have had previous experience with Olmifon (Adrafinil). As has been said before its much more potent at lower dose that Adrafinil. I only need 1/2 a pill to do what 2x300mg Adrafinils were doing for me. I took a whole Nuvigil the first time and was more productive in that single day that I had been in ages. Got all my work done, worked on personal projects… it was amazing. I will say that some of the physical side effects were a little troubling (ever present tightness in the collarbone to middle neck area, massive restless legs)
It is important to see that with Akoward’s review, despite him alternating to the branded Armodafinil, side-effects were still experienced. This goes to show that Adrafinil, though not manufactured under a moniker, is no less competent in generating the excellent results that might be expected from those drugs which sound more ‘professional’.

Adrafinil vs Modafinil vs Armodafinil

Like Adrafinil and Modafinil, Armodafinil is a stimulant used to combat fatigue. Introduced in 2007, Armodafinil appears under brand names such as Nuvigil, Artvigil, and Waklert. It is purportedly more effective at lower doses than its relatives Adrafinil and Modafinil.
Armodafinil is an enantiopure drug. Enantiopure drugs contain only one of the enantiomers (spoken about earlier), R or S. The R enantiomer is longer acting and is most responsible for the effects of Modafinil specifically. Since the S enantiomer is not as strong, Armodafinil’s dosage is therefore lower. Most doses are 150mg compared to Modafinil’s 200mg standard dose.
Whilst the effects last for roughly the same time, Armodafinil takes longer to reach its peak than Modafinil, and therefore even longer than Adrafinil. This is simply because the S enantiomer reacts and leaves the body faster. Remember, Armodafinil does not have the S enantiomer, whereas Modafinil does. Adrafinil does, too, because Modafinil is a component within it. Because of this, users find that the effects of Armodafinil take longer to make themselves apparent – a potential disadvantage for prospective users.
So, how is Armodafinil processed? Dopamine is a compound existing as neurotransmitter within the body. It is also precursor of other substances including adrenaline. Armodafinil is an indirect dopamine receptor agonist. What this essentially means, then, is that Armodafinil provokes the dopamine levels in the body.
Armodafinil is metabolized in much the similar way as Modafinil. It relies on amide hydrolysis primarily, and enzyme activity from by cytochrome P450 secondly. Amide Hydrolysis refers to the reaction with water of amides – a compound)
As a consequence, this means that is does not rely as much on heavy enzyme activity in the liver. Adrafinil does. This presents further difference that may be considered by potential users. However, it is important to remember to stick to dosage guidance. If taken properly, and often cyclically, Adrafinil is no more threatening to the liver than Modafinil or Armodafinil.
Because Armodafinil, Modafinil and Adrafinil are all very similar in terms of effect, there is much discussion about which is the best. With regard to Modafinil and Armodafinil specifically, some may assume that because small dosages are needed for the latter that it is more efficient. However, it is important to remember individual sensitivity levels. Different drugs can have different reactions for different people. Potency is therefore not the only factor; the personal experience of using either Armodafinil or Modafinil is equally important. A trial and error approach may be necessary, but, of course, extensive research to find the best possible supplement for you is paramount.
In undertaking research, then, you may discover information that suits your needs. For example, it is proposed that, unlike Modafinil, Armodafinil will not actually disturb your existing sleep patterns. Modafinil users might agree a good night’s sleep is difficult to achieve depending on the dosage.
Reddit user guitar1560 states that
I took 50mg two days in a row twice. Couldn’t sleep well the second night both times
Whereas SequenceConvenience writes
I’ve experienced pretty strong sleep changes while taking modafinil, but nothing that has been negative. I actually seem to need less sleep, at least in the sense that it is very easy for me to get out of bed the day after taking modafinil. Then again, I also don’t seem to have much in the way of dreams during those nights.
Armodafinil does not impact sleep pattern. However, with SequenceConvenience’s review, it is clear that some find this a positive effect of Modafinil while others, like guitar1560, may be disappointed.
Respective costs of the drugs might further influence your decision. KimberCT on Longe City tried both Armodafinil and Modafinil, but was swayed somewhat by the price of Nuvigil (the branded name of Armodafinil):
Currently taking 250mg armodafinil daily. To be honest, I kind of prefer modafinil. It seems to have a little more of a quick kick to it. Probably that isomer with a short half life peaking. Other than that, I can’t tell the difference between Nuvigil and modafinil (Sun Pharma). I’d probably have continued taking modafinil, but Cephalon has jacked the price since Nuvigil was FDA approved. With an Rx, Provigil is twice the price of Nuvigil. Their way of getting everyone onto Nuvigil before Provigil’s patent expires.
Adrafinil, meanwhile, can be obtained very cheaply online because it does not exist under a manufactured name. Nevertheless, many of these drugs are safe to use even if they lack a moniker like Provigil or Nuvigil. To stop concerns of the legitimacy of your purchased drug, always ask that your online manufacturer provides a COA (Certificate of Authenticity) on demand. This means that the substance batch has undergone a third-party laboratory analysis to ensure that your purchased drug matches its label and is not contaminated.
A common side-effect of Adrafinil is that the urine can smell different after ingestion of the drug. This is because one of Adrafinil’s metabolites contains a sulphur-based compound, and sulphur is strong smelling in itself.
However, these criticisms are not limited to Adrafinil alone and it should not sway potential users away from this particular drug. Modafinil has also been found to change the odor of urine. For example, PhysicsMaestro on Longe city queries:
I’ve been using modafinil (modalert) for about 8 months now, and regularly noticed a distinct smell of my urine whenever taking it. However, with this armodafinil, I don’t seem to notice it, which worries me a bit (i.e., not really what it states to be). Has anyone else noticed this difference between armodafinil and modafinil? I thought maybe the S-enantiomer could be metabolized and excreted quicker, thus resulting in an early onset smell, but I am just guessing.
Jadamgo answered:
The difference could easily be due to one of the excipients of the tablet, not the active ingredient. It’s also possible that only the S-enantiomer causes the smell, and of course, there’s the possibility that either these pills or the old ones didn’t actually contain modafinil. Sometimes they contain caffeine or dimethylamylamine or other stimulants, either mixed with modafinil or completely replacing it.
PhysicsMaestro thereafter concurrs:
I thought the odorous urine was ubiquitous to all variants of modafinil, resulting from its metabolites. But I guess the smell could be dependent on the enantiomer. I am willing to assume that whatever enzyme metabolizes modafinil to modafinil acid would leave its chirality intact. I don’t think it would be the excipients since the smell is so widely reported with different sources (and the modafinil has a sulfiyl group, so)
Nor does Armodafinil escape the urine issues. An anonymous writer on Erowid.org wrote:
Oh, and the pill tastes awful. Don’t let it get stuck in your mouth. And my pee starts to smell like it, too, but I get used to it
It is therefore important not to be selective of criticism based on what drug you have been swayed by. If you read that Modafinil is apparently “safer” because it does not rely on rampant enzyme activity, then do remember to include other issues such as cost-efficiency and, of course, other side-effects that might become more apparent than rare liver problems. These side-effects might include nausea, chest-pain or a faster heart rate (nhs.uk).
Adrafinil stands out as the most cost-effective, and, though it has been reported to alter urine odor, it is not alone. Modafinil, the more expensive, and Armodafinil, with a longer reaction time, also generate similar side-effects.
As well as reviews on specific effects of Adrafinil, Armodafinil or Modafinil, there are plenty of general overviews to be found around the internet. On Reddit, BitcoinOperatedGirl writes of her experience:
I tried the adrafinil first, starting with a low dose of 200mg one morning. I prepared a capsule and put it in a baggie next to my pillow before I went to sleep. When my alarm clock rang in the morning, I swallowed the capsule, silenced the alarm clock, and went back to sleep. I was expecting the stimulatory effect to eventually wake me up, as a caffeine pill would, but I ended up sleeping for two more hours. I felt a little disappointed after getting up and not feeling any stimulation, so I decided to add an extra 400mg to the mix. The rest of the day, I was in a fairly good mood. I thought that I was maybe a little more energetic and motivated than usual. I was fairly productive and I worked out. The effect wasn’t what I expected, however. I’ve read people on here talking about feeling wired, and “laser beam focus”, but a whole 600mg of adrafinil felt nothing close to what I imagined (I guess I imagined it would feel like a mild dose of ritalin or something). On the upside, I experienced no substantial anxiety, whereas all the amphetamine-like drugs make me very uncomfortably anxious (I really can’t stand them, they feel disgusting to me). I didn’t really feel a crash and I went to bed at my normal hour. I’m experimenting with adrafinil again today. I took 800mg this time. I was feeling particularly tired this morning (cripplingly tired, lethargic really). I definitely feel more energetic now. I’ve gotten some work done, I’m feeling the drive to write walls of text on reddit and I’m going to have a workout in a few minutes. I don’t expect to have any motivational issues today. Maybe I’ll even cook something fun. Only unfortunate side-effect seems to be a mild headache, but advil seems to be taking care of that. I also tried armodafinil a week ago. Took a small 75mg dose in the morning. Same setup as with adrafinil. I also fell back to sleep for 2 hours. I felt pretty anxious that day and also got a headache. I can’t quite be sure the armodafinil is to blame but I suspect it is. Seems much more anxiety-inducing than adrafinil, which is unfortunate given that it seems adrafinil is worse for your liver. Armodafinil is probably just not for me.
Nezxon on LongeCity meanwhile states that:
I’m taking 75mg Adrafinil (Olmifon) twice daily and I haven’t experienced any side effects. I’d like to give Armodafinil a try, perhaps even safer in the long-term than Modafinil is.
These kinds of reviews certainly help to build a solid picture of each drug’s story. Undertaking research like this to decide on which drug is preferable to you is definitely something you should embark on before picking at random a supplement based on one review.

Adrafinil vs Modafinil reddit

The only notable difference in reviews between Modafinil and Adrafinil is that the latter takes longer to take effect. For example, justmodz1 stated that:
adrafinil is the precursor of modafinil in that it came first and led to the discovery of modafinil in fact adrafinil turns into modafinil in the body due to breakdown of it molecules which actually means that the two have the same effects but adrafinil takes longer to take effect.
While KPC100 agreed that:
Adrafinil gets turned into Modafinil in your system. Because of this, you need a much larger dose and it takes longer to take effect.
Although it does have a longer reaction time, this certainly shouldn’t be a downfall of Adrafinil. It is simply a case that Adrafinil’s chemical processing takes a little longer. However, once complete, the results are just as effective as those found with Modafinil. Take into consideration, also, that Adrafinil will certainly stimulate, energize and ultimately shake you awake. The seemingly longer period of time before this happens will soon become irrelevant when the benefits are reaped. Further Reddit reviews compare other aspects of Adrafinil and Modafinil.
Jjhurley, commenting on the actual nature of each drug, states that:
I keep reading from people who’ve experienced both adra & moda is that they prefer modafinil. To me it is surprising there would be a whole lot of difference given what we know about adrafinil converting to modafinil once in your system. I understand the conversion takes time but I wouldn’t think that to make a significant impact to different effects.
While the same user goes on to discuss issues of costing, in the end suggesting that, in terms of price, they would definitely prefer Adrafinil:
I was really hoping to have equal, if not better, experiences on just 200mg of moda. The reason I’d like to not take more than that is simply cost. At $1.50-2.00 per 200mg pill of moda (prices based off the quantities I’d be ordering as well as variation in supplier prices) it’s too costly to have to take twice that for my own personal budget. To be honest, even at $1.50-2.00 per pill/200mg is already high for my budget. I can get 50g of adrafinil for $98 which comes out to up to 50% cheaper a single moda dose/pill of 200mg. If conversion ratios are right and I’d need two pills or 400mg of moda though then my adra would be 75% cheaper.
There are plenty of important aspects to consider when choosing between Modafinil or Adrafinil. Firstly, selecting the safest and most reliable drug should be of paramount interest. Whereas Adrafinil is often tested by third parties and is shipped nationally rather than across sees, Modafinil (both branded and unbranded versions) is often left untested and sent from India. Quality control is a big issue of concern for international pharmacies and should definitely guide your final decision.
Pricing is also important to consider. Although you might think you’re getting a better deal by choosing a cheaper off-label version from India, it is still not as easy to buy Modafinil as it is Adrafinil. Most venders of Modafinil do not accept Paypal. This service offers secure buyer protection. With the option of a legitimate, nationally supplied alternative in Adrafinil, it is illogical to risk your bank account details instead – just to purchase a drug that will likely be contaminated and unsafe

Life and survival guide for Brazilian comrades.

"I believe in planning for the worst, while hoping the best. I hope that none of you will be in danger, and that no one you know and care about is in danger.
PRACTICAL THINGS TO DO RIGHT OW
1: get a VPN that has servers that the brazilian government can't subpoena. delete your social media accounts that you've used that have leftist and pro PT stuff on them. Make sure that going forward nothing is traceable to you. Any new media accounts you have that are political must be tied to a dummy email account.
2: if you have the means, keep a stash of money in a very safe place that's hidden but accessible. If the worst happens and you ever have to leave the country, you'll need bribe money. You'll need documents and authoritarian regimes don't always make it easy for certain people to get them. also keep a few gold rings hidden too. They're valuable everywhere you might end up.
3: get a passport now. get all those documents now. even if you don't plan to leave, get them right fucking now so you can be processed elsewhere and you'll be let on a flight if you need to go before the option might vanish. Keep copies in a bank box if your country's banks are reliable. Keep digital scans in an encrypted thumb drive. The digital scans can be used to get real copies at a brazilian embassy or consulate if your government is willing to still provide them to you.
4: if you take medication, keep careful track of your prescriptions. Always make sure that you have a 2 month supply that you can take with you. You might not be able to get the exact same meds in another country due to differences in regulatory approval for certain active ingredients and their approved applications, and it might take time to get a replacement drug in a host country.
MENTAL HEALTH
You're scared and angry. Maybe not necessarily for yourself even, but for others. That's good. That means you're still sane. That also means you're feeling a lot of alienation because you're surrounded by people who see nothing wrong with what is going on around you. It will get worse. That feeling will grow and fester. If you have empathy, you can never turn it off completely. You will feel like a stranger in your own country until this is over. Already you and people you care about have been demonized. Loan wolves, groups, and the state may all act on that demonization. Right now you may not even be sure what you can do and if you should even try to do anything. That's normal. But you have until January to decide what you do, and if you become a private person to try to protect your own safety, or if you decide to stay and become a public person to help others and yourself. If you can't be brave, then be kind. If you can't put yourself out there, and I'm not saying you should, then do what you can quietly until you can't bare it anymore and you have to leave. But until you decide how you're going to respond, you will feel alienated. If you ever feel numb, then you're loosing your humanity. You're going to have find a confidant. Maybe it's your spouse, maybe it's someone else in your life like your best friend. very few people can bare the emotional burden you will feel when it all kicks off and never say anything. You will need to talk to people, and you need to know they won't betray you if it gets extremely extremely bad. You will also feel anger. That's also normal. But quash it if you can. Anger can make you do reckless things. You will get your revenge by living and not conceding to the madness around you. You need to be smart. Assume that lists of names are being assembled. You can no longer speak out so openly. Make sure you know who you're talking to and who's listening.
Take care. No matter how bad it gets, remember that there are people who care deeply about you. You're never as alone as you might think you are. I've been asked in DMs about VPNs. Here's a great article that explains a lot about the pros and cons of some reputable major ones out there. I personally recommend NordVPN " ~ Via adlerchen
Tips from other users:
-If you have a Portuguese grandparent, you are eligible for citizenship. via AimingWineSnailz
-In regards to VPNs I would recommend Mullvad over NordVPN. One indicator that might be a good idea is that NordVPN does this (taken from OP's article):
We use Google Analytics and third-party ticket/live chat tools (Zendesk/Zopim). Google Analytics is used to improve our website and provide our users with the most relevant information. The ticket/live chat tool is used to provide the best support in the industry (available 24/7), but not tracking our users by any means. I mean, they don't even bother with shielding their users from fucking Google...
Mullvad meanwhile:
We have no external elements at all on our website. We do use an external email provider; for those who want to email us, we encourage them to use PGP encryption which is the only effective way to keep email somewhat private. The decrypted content is only available to us. Way better. That's not to say that NordVPN isn't decent a choice though!
If you can't afford a VPN subscription and need a free VPN go with ProtonVPN.
Also mail! Please change to something like either tutanota or protonmail.
~ Via Sartanen
-Recommended email providers:
Tutanota
Riseup
Protonmail
Regarding VPNs:
The VPNs you will purchase most likely offers non-Brazil locations. Use them, not the ones located in Brazil. Can't afford a VPN? Use Tor. Can afford a VPN? Use Tor still. Most of these services are available with a dedicated .onion address which are more secure than the clearnet one.
Secure payments
Avoid using credit cards/bank accounts/etc for purchasing a VPN or other things you prefer to keep discreet whenever possible. Get Bitcoin or other currencies instead. Simply buying bitcoin from someone is usually enough, however for extra security you can tumble the coins using Privcoin or other coin mixers.

A few stories about Brian Krebs: The independent cybercrime journalist who exposes criminals on the internet

First, a bit of introduction before we get into the living drama that is Brian Krebs.
Brian Krebs has been a journalist for decades, starting in the late 90s. He got his start at The Washington Post, but what he's most famous for are his exposes on criminal businesses and individuals who perpetuate cyber crime worldwide. In 2001, he got his interest in cybercrime piqued when a computer worm locked him out of his own computer. In 2005, he shifted from working as a staff writer at The Washington Post's tech newswire to writing for their security blog, "Security Wire". During his tenure there, he started by focusing on the victims of cybercrime, but later also started to focus on the perpetrators of it as well. His reporting helped lead to the shutdown of McColo, a hosting provider who provided service to some of the world's biggest spammers and hackers. Reports analyzing the shutdown of McColo estimated that global spam volume dropped by between 40 and 70 percent. Further analysis revealed it also played host to child pornography sites, and the Russian Business Network, a major Russian cybercrime ring.
In 2009, Krebs left to start his own site, KrebsOnSecurity. Since then, he's been credited with being the first to report on major events such as Stuxnet and when Target was breached, resulting in the leakage of 40 million cards. He also regularly investigates and reveals criminals' identities on his site. The latter has made him the bane of the world of cybercrime, as well as basically a meme, where criminals will include references like Made by Brian Krebs in their code, or name their shops full of stolen credit cards after him.
One of his first posts on his new site was a selection of his best work. While not particularly dramatic, they serve as an excellent example of dogged investigative work, and his series reveal the trail of takedowns his work has documented, or even contributed to.
And now, a selection of drama involving Krebs. Note, all posts are sarcastically-tinged retellings of the source material which I will link throughout. I also didn't use the real names in my retellings, but they are in the source material. This took way too long to write, and it still does massively condense the events described in the series. Krebs has been involved with feuds with other figures, but I'd argue these tales are the "main" bits of drama that are most suited for here.

Fly on the Wall

By 2013, Krebs was no stranger to cybercriminals taking the fight to the real world. He was swatted previously to the point where the police actually know to give him a ring and see if there'd actually been a murder, or if it was just those wacky hackers at it again. In addition, his identity was basically common knowledge to cybercriminals, who would open lines of credit in his name, or find ways to send him money using stolen credit cards.
However, one particular campaign against him caught his eye. A hacker known as "Fly" aka "Flycracker" aka "MUXACC1" posted on a Russian-language fraud forum he administered about a "Krebs fund". His plan was simple. Raise Bitcoin to buy Heroin off of a darknet marketplace, address it to Krebs, and alert his local police via a spoofed phone call. Now, because Krebs is an investigative journalist, he develops undercover presences on cybercrime forums, and it just so happened he'd built up a presence on this one already.
Guys, it became known recently that Brian Krebs is a heroin addict and he desperately needs the smack, so we have started the "Helping Brian Fund", and shortly we will create a bitcoin wallet called "Drugs for Krebs" which we will use to buy him the purest heroin on the Silk Road. My friends, his withdrawal is very bad, let’s join forces to help the guy! We will save Brian from the acute heroin withdrawal and the world will get slightly better!
Fly had first caught Krebs' attention by taunting him on Twitter, sending him Tweets including insults and abuse, and totally-legit looking links. Probably either laced with malware, or designed to get Krebs' IP. He also took to posting personal details such as Krebs' credit report, directions to his house, and pictures of his front door on LiveJournal, of all places.
So, after spotting the scheme, he alerted his local police that he'd probably have someone sending him some China White. Sure enough, the ne'er-do-wells managed to raise 2 BTC, which at the time was a cool $200 or so. They created an account on the premiere darknet site at the time, The Silk Road under the foolproof name "briankrebs7". They found one seller who had consistently high reviews, but the deal fell through for unknown reasons. My personal theory is the seller decided to Google where it was going, and realized sending a gram of dope into the waiting arms of local law enforcement probably wasn't the best use of his time. Still, the forum members persevered, and found another seller who was running a buy 10 get 2 free promotion. $165 of Bitcoin later, the drugs were on their way to a new home. The seller apparently informed Fly that the shipment should arrive by Tuesday, a fact which he gleefully shared with the forum.
While our intrepid hero had no doubt that the forum members were determined to help him grab the tail of the dragon, he's not one to assume without confirmation, and enlisted the help of a graduate student at UCSD who was researching Bitcoin and anonymity on The Silk Road, and confirmed the address shared by Fly was used to deposit 2 BTC into an account known to be used for money management on the site.
By Monday, an envelope from Chicago had arrived, containing a copy of Chicago confidential. Taped inside were tiny baggies filled with the purported heroin. Either dedicated to satisfied customers, or mathematically challenged, the seller had included thirteen baggies instead of the twelve advertised. A police officer arrived to take a report and whisked the baggies away.
Now, Fly was upset that Krebs wasn't in handcuffs for drug possession, and decided to follow up his stunt by sending Krebs a floral arrangement shaped like a cross, and an accompanying threatening message addressed to his wife, the dire tone slightly undercut by the fact that it was signed "Velvet Crabs". Krebs' curiosity was already piqued from the shenanigans with the heroin, but with the arrival of the flowers decided to dive deeper into the сука behind things.
He began digging into databases from carding sites that had been hacked, but got his first major breakthrough to his identity from a Russian computer forensics firm. Fly had maintained an account on a now-defunct hacking forum, whose database was breached under "Flycracker". It turns out, the email Flycracker had used was also hacked at some point, and a source told Krebs that the email was full of reports from a keylogger Fly had installed on his wife's computer. Now, because presumably his wife wasn't part of, or perhaps even privy to her husband's illicit dealings, her email account happened to be her full legal name, which Krebs was able to trace to her husband. Now, around this time, the site Fly maintained disappeared from the web, and administrators on another major fraud forum started purging his account. This is a step they typically take when they suspect a member has been apprehended by authorities. Nobody knew for sure, but they didn't want to take any chances.
More research by Krebs revealed that the criminals' intuition had been correct, and Fly was arrested in Italy, carrying documents under an assumed name. He was sitting in an Italian jail, awaiting potential extradition to the United States, as well as potentially facing charges in Italy. This was relayed to Krebs by a law enforcement official who simply said "The Fly has been swatted". (Presumably while slowly removing a pair of aviator sunglasses)
While Fly may have been put away, the story between Krebs and Fly wasn't quite over. He did end up being extradited to the US for prosecution, but while imprisoned in Italy, Fly actually started sending Krebs letters. Understandably distrustful after the whole "heroin" thing, his contacts in federal law enforcement tested the letter, and found it to be clean. Inside, there was a heartfelt and personal letter, apologizing for fucking with Krebs in so many ways. He also forgave Krebs for posting his identity online, leading him to muse that perhaps Fly was working through a twelve-step program. In December, he received another letter, this time a simple postcard with a cheerful message wishing him a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Krebs concluded his post thusly:
Cybercrooks have done some pretty crazy stuff to me in response to my reporting about them. But I don’t normally get this kind of closure. I look forward to meeting with Fly in person one day soon now that he will be just a short train ride away. And he may be here for some time: If convicted on all charges, Fly faces up to 30 years in U.S. federal prison.
Fly ultimately was extradited. He plead guilty and was sentenced to 41 months in jail

vDOS and Mirai Break The Internet

Criminals are none too happy when they find their businesses and identities on the front page of KrebsOnSecurity. It usually means law enforcement isn't far behind. One such business was known as vDOS. A DDOS-for-hire (also known as a "booter" or a "stresser") site that found itself hacked, with all their customer records still in their databases leaked. Analysis of the records found that in a four-month time span, the service had been responsible for about 8.81 years worth of attack time, meaning on average at any given second, there were 26 simultaneous attacks running. Interestingly, the hack of vDOS came about from another DDOS-for-hire site, who as it turns out was simply reselling services provided by vDOS. They were far from the only one. vDOS appeared to provide firepower to a large number of different resellers.
In addition to the attack logs, support messages were also among the data stolen. This contained some complaints from various clients who complained they were unable to launch attacks against Israeli IPs. This is a common tactic by hackers to try and avoid unwanted attention from authorities in their country of residence. This was confirmed when two men from Israel were arrested for their involvement in owning and running vDOS. However, this was just the beginning for this bit of drama.
The two men arrested went by the handles "applej4ck" and "Raziel". They had recently published a paper on DDOS attack methods in an online Israeli security magazine. Interestingly, on the same day the men were arrested, questioned, and released on bail, vDOS went offline. Not because it had been taken down by Israeli authorities, not because they had shut it down themselves, but because a DDOS protection firm, BackConnect Security, had hijacked the IP addresses belonging to the company. To spare a lot of technical detail, it's called a BGP hijack, and it basically works by a company saying "Yeah, those are our addresses." It's kind of amazing how much of the internet is basically just secured by the digital equivalent of pinky swears. You can read some more technical detail on Wikipedia. Anyway, we'll get back to BackConnect.
Following the publication of the story uncovering the inner workings of vDOS, KrebsOnSecurity was hit with a record breaking DDOS attack, that peaked at 620/Gbps, nearly double the most powerful DDOS attack previously on record. To put that in perspective, that's enough bandwidth to download 5 simultaneous copies of Interstellar in 4K resolution every single second, and still have room to spare. The attack was so devastating, Akamai, one of the largest providers of DDOS protection in the world had to drop Krebs as a pro bono client. Luckily, Google was willing to step in and place his site under the protection of Google's Project Shield, a free service designed to protect the news sites and journalists from being knocked offline by DDOS attacks.
This attack was apparently in retaliation for the vDOS story, since some of the data sent in the attack included the string "freeapplej4ck". The attack was executed by a botnet of Internet of Things (or IoT) devices. These are those "smart" devices like camera systems, routers, DVRs. Basically things that connect to the cloud. An astounding amount of those are secured with default passwords that can be easily looked up from various sites or even the manufacturers' websites. This was the start of a discovery of a massive botnet that had been growing for years.
Now time for a couple quick side stories:
Dyn, a company who provides DNS to many major companies including Twitter, Reddit, and others came under attack, leaving many sites (including Twitter and Reddit) faltering in the wake of it. Potentially due to one of their engineers' collaboration with Krebs on another story. It turned out that the same botnet that attacked Krebs' site was at least part of the attack on Dyn
And back to BackConnect, that DDOS protection firm that hijacked the IP addresses from vDOS. Well it turns out BGP Hijacks are old hat for the company. They had done it at least 17 times before. Including at least once (purportedly with permission) for the address 1.3.3.7. Aka, "leet". It turns out one of the co-founders of BackConnect actually posted screenshots of him visiting sites that tell you your public IP address in a DDOS mitigation industry chat, showing it as 1.3.3.7. They also used a BGP Hijack against a hosting company and tried to frame a rival DDOS mitigation provider.
Finally, another provider, Datawagon was interestingly implicated in hosting DDOS-for-hire sites while offering DDOS protection. In a Skype conversation where the founder of Datawagon wanted to talk about that time he registered dominos.pizza and got sued for it, he brings up scanning the internet for vulnerable routers completely unprompted. Following the publication of the story about BackConnect, in which he was included in, he was incensed about his portrayal, and argued with Krebs over Skype before Krebs ultimately ended up blocking him. He was subsequently flooded with fake contact requests from bogus or hacked Skype accounts. Shortly thereafter, the record-breaking DDOS attack rained down upon his site.
Back to the main tale!
So, it turns out the botnet of IoT devices was puppeteered by a malware called Mirai. How did it get its name? Well, that's the name its creator gave it, after an anime called Mirai Nikki. How did this name come to light? The creator posted the source code online. (The name part, not the origin. The origin didn't come 'til later.) The post purported that they'd picked it up from somewhere in their travels as a DDOS industry professional. It turns out this is a semi-common tactic when miscreants fear that law enforcement might come looking for them, and having the only copy of the source code of a malware in existence is a pretty strong indicator that you have something to do with it. So, releasing the source to the world gives a veneer of plausible deniability should that eventuality come to pass. So who was this mysterious benefactor of malware source? They went by the name "Anna-senpai".
As research on the Mirai botnet grew, and more malware authors incorporated parts of Mirai's source code into their own attacks, attention on the botnet increased, and on the people behind it. The attention was presumably the reason why Hackforums, the forum where the source code was posted, later disallowed ostensible "Server Stress Tester" services from being sold on it. By December, "Operation Tarpit" had wrought 34 arrests and over a hundred "knock and talk" interviews questioning people about their involvement.
By January, things started to come crashing down. Krebs published an extensive exposé on Anna-senpai detailing all the evidence linking them to the creation of Mirai. The post was so big, he included a damn glossary. What sparked the largest botnet the internet had ever seen? Minecraft. Minecraft servers are big business. A popular one can earn tens of thousands of dollars per month from people buying powers, building space, or other things. It's also a fiercely competitive business, with hundreds of servers vying for players. It turns out that things may have started, as with another set of companies, two rival DDOS mitigation providers competing for customers. ProTraf was a provider of such mitigation technology, and a company whose owner later worked for ProTraf had on at least one occasion hijacked addresses belonging to another company, ProxyPipe. ProxyPipe had also been hit with DDOS attacks they suspected to be launched by ProTraf.
While looking into the President of ProTraf, Krebs realized he'd seen the relatively uncommon combination of programming languages and skills posted by the President somewhere else. They were shared by Anna-senpai on Hackforums. As Krebs dug deeper and deeper into Anna-senpai's online presence, he uncovered other usernames, including one he traced to some Minecraft forums where a photoshopped picture of a still from Pulp Fiction contained the faces of BackConnect, which was a rival to ProTraf's DDOS mitigation business, and another face. A hacker by the name of Vyp0r, who another employee of ProTraf claimed betrayed his trust and blackmailed him into posting the source of another piece of malware called Bashlite. There was also a third character photoshopped into the image. An anime character named "Yamada" from a movie called B Gata H Hei.
Interestingly, under the same username, Krebs found a "MyAnimeList" profile which, out of 9 titles it had marked as watched, were B Gata H Hei, as well as Mirai Nikki, the show from which Mirai derived its name. It continues on with other evidence, including DDOS attacks against Rutgers University, but in short, there was little doubt in the identity of "Anna-senpai", but the person behind the identity did contact Krebs to comment. He denied any involvement in Mirai or DDOS attacks.
"I don’t think there are enough facts to definitively point the finger at me," [Anna-senpai] said. "Besides this article, I was pretty much a nobody. No history of doing this kind of stuff, nothing that points to any kind of sociopathic behavior. Which is what the author is, a sociopath."
He did, however, correct Krebs on the name of B Gata H Kei.
Epilogue
Needless to say, the Mirai botnet crew was caught, but managed to avoid jailtime thanks to their cooperation with the government. That's not to say they went unpunished. Anna-senpai was sentenced to 6 months confinement, 2500 hours of community service, and they may have to pay up to $8.6 million in restitution for their attacks on Rutgers university.

Other Stories

I don't have the time or energy to write another effortpost, and as is I'm over 20,000 characters, so here's a few other tidbits of Krebs' clashes with miscreants.

Guide to Buying Modafinil in Australia Legally: What You Need to Know.

Yes, it is a real shame Modafinil Cat closed (and also now Afinil Express, ModUp & DuckDose!), they were a reputable and reliable Modafinil seller! Our current top recommended seller (\Updated October 2019\**) is BuyModa.
This company has been vetted by us and has MANY positive reviews and feedback from our community regarding secure payment options, free shipping, successful & discreet delivery, & more, particularly for countries like Australia. Also great is they offer a guarantee to reship your order, or full money back refund, if there are any issues with shipping, packages held up at customs (rare), lost packages, etc:
BuyModa
BuyModa is currently the #1 most visited Modafinil pharmacy online according to Alexa. We only work with ISO certified pharmaceutical companies to ensure you receive the highest-quality medicines in the world. Pretty sure Modafinil Cat also own Afinilexpress or are affiliated or some type of relationship. If you go to Reddit and search for ModUP you will see a few complaints about fraudulent CC charges, however it is only a small % and it appears the transactions are for random things like pet food from China, suggesting they or whoever they use for payments was hacked, rather than fraudulent activity by Modup themselves. Still worrying asI have ordered from them many times.

If you’re curious about how to buy Modafinil in Australia, you’ve come to the right place.
In this comprehensive guide, I’ll break down everything you need to know about getting your hands on the world’s most popular smart drug while living down under.

But here’s the gist of it…

While the nootropic may be technically seem as prescription-only in Australia, you can easily and legally buy Modafinil online – it doesn’t matter if you have a doctor’s prescription or not.

While I’m not from Australia, I know the smart drug game inside and out. I’ve been using nootropics for nearly half a decade now. I know which online pharmacies sell legit nootropics and which ones will send you bunk. My only goal is to get you the best nootropics in the world without an issue.

So, I’ll tell you how to get Modafinil in Australia without hassle. It’s pretty easy these days. You don’t even need a prescription to do it.

This guide is long and detailed to ensure I don’t leave out anything for those curious about Australia and Modafinil.

As always, I must hit y’all with a quick disclaimer before we begin…

What is Modafinil?

Before we dive too deep into how to buy Modafinil in Australia, let’s discuss what the smart drug is and why so many people love it.
As the world’s most popular smart drug, Modafinil has gained famed as the premier cognitive enhancer on the market.
Most people, including many Australians, find Modafinil offers benefits like:
Overall, Modafinil makes you feel like you can accomplish anything and everything you want – while you’re on it.
It’s not the “Limitless” pill, but it’s pretty darn close.
Originally, Modafinil was developed as a pharmaceutical drug under the name Provigil. Created in France during the late 1980s, the drug quickly rose to popularity as doctors began prescribing it for common ailments like (Source):
In the late 1990s, Provigil made its way to the United States. And before you knew it, Provigil was being used for off-the-label uses.
Grad students and CEOs in major cities like NYC and Boston quickly figured out that Modafinil gave them a competitive advantage over the competition.
These hustlers could pop 200 mg of Modafinil and focus for 12+ or pull an all-nighter without any issue.
The smart drug craze had officially begun, and Modafinil was at the forefront of it!
Things haven’t slowed down since then. It didn’t take long for Modafinil to surpass Adderall as the world’s most popular study drug, either.
Now people are looking to get their hands on the smart drug from all around the world. There’s a reason you’re curious about how to buy Modafinil in Australia.
Why?
Because Modafinil just works, mate.

Is Modafinil Legal in Australia?

Now, I’m no lawyer. Nor am I a legal scholar. So, this section about the legalities of Modafinil in Australia should not be construed as anything but hyperbole. This is NOT advice.
Is Modafinil legal in Australia?
Yes and no. Honestly, it’s a grey area.
Here’s the simplest way to break things down:
If you have narcolepsy or severe sleep apnea, your Australian doctor can legally prescribe you brand name Modafinil – generally Modavigil, as Provigil in Australia isn’t that common.
With this prescription, you can then go to a pharmacy in Australia and legally purchase Modafinil over-the-counter in the country with that prescription.
For those of us unable to get a prescription for Provigil in Australia, buying from a pharmacy is technically illegal.
It’s also impossible.
Why? Because no Australian pharmacist is risking their career to sell you pharmaceutical-grade smart drugs under-the-counter.
TL DR:
If you want to buy Modafinil in Australia, you’ll need to get a prescription from a local doctor for a commonly prescribed ailment. Then go to the pharmacy. This is the laws regarding Modafinil in the country.
However, there’s a little bit more than meets the eye here.
The laws and legalities surrounding Modafinil in Australia and how to get your hands on it require a little due diligence. Which is why I need to discuss…
P.S: I will be discussing the legalities of shipping Modafinil to Australia below…but you needn’t be worried there.

Drug Schedules in Australia

Australia drug scheduling laws come into play when talking Provigil in Australia.
In the country, pharmaceutical and street drugs are classified through the Therapeutic Goods Act, or TGA. The drugs are classified in groups 1-10 based on how dangerous they and the potential for abuse.
According to the TGA, the world’s most popular smart drug is considered a schedule 4 medication. As such, there are some limitations when buying Modafinil in the country.
Here’s a brief breakdown of drug schedules in Australia:
It should be clear by now, but if it’s not…
Drug scheduling in Australia is a complex matter.
For example, let’s look at Modafinil.
Modafinil is a schedule 4 drug in Australia, as the government seems to think that Modafinil offers some potential for abuse and addiction.
While seemingly true in theory due to the active mechanisms in Modafinil, the AU government may be reaching when considering Modafinil as an addictive substance.
There have been very few Provigil addiction cases ever reported or recorded. For example, here’s one study talking about a rare case of Modafinil dependence.
The smart drug simply isn’t addictive in a manner most individuals use the word.
You can take Modafinil multiple times a week without ever feeling a Modafinil “craving” or “withdraw” before or after.
Still, Modafinil is a schedule 4 drug in Australia…and that won’t be changing for sometime.

How to Get a Modafinil Prescription in Australia

Australia is a decidedly developed nation.
This shouldn’t come as any surprise.
As such, the sale and consumption of pharmaceutical drugs generally requires a prescription from a registered doctor in the country.
This is certainly the case in Australia.
To purchase Provigil in Australia from a pharmacy, you will need a prescription from a doctor. As previously discussed, there is absolutely no workaround here. Australian pharmacists cannot be negotiated with.
So, how do you get a Modafinil prescription in Australia? One that allows you to purchase Provigil or Modavigil from a pharmacy…
You head over to a doctor and beg for mercy.
Just kidding.
Generally, Australian doctors only prescribe Modafinil for patients who have narcolepsy – which is not exactly a medical issue one can “fake” or lie about.
Narcolepsy is a condition where one falls asleep at all times of the day – often without warning. It can be potentially dangerous, especially when operating a motor vehicle.
If you have narcolepsy, just go to the doctor and get a Modafinil prescription. No need to read this guide. For the rest of us, we’re left with two options when getting a Modafinil prescription in Australia is of concern.
The first one involves going to a sleep specialist and complaining of excessive daytime sleepiness and drowsiness. You can blame the fatigue on sleep apnea or shift sleep disorder. The doctor should order a day-time sleep study.
Based upon these results, the doctor could then prescribe Modafinil due to excessive daytime sleepiness.
That’s the last 100% legal way of getting a Modafinil prescription in Australia.
Luckily…There are other ways to get your hands on Modafinil while living down under. Ways that certainly are NOT illegal.
The easiest? You can buy Modafinil online and have it shipped to Australia.
– Is this 100% legal? –
Again, I’m no lawyer.
But I’ve yet to hear about anyone having legitimate legal issues importing a Schedule 4 pharmaceutical drug for personal use – which I’ll be discussing furthermore below.
I’d surmise the worst that happens is your package gets seized by customs and you get a full refund from the online Modafinil pharmacy you purchased from.
Even this is rare!
See, the best Modafinil online vendors guarantee their shipments to Australia. This means you either get your Modafinil or you get a full refund or reshipment. Your choice.
Basically, you have no risk. If customs confiscates your package, you get your money back or the vendor sends you another order ASAP.
Which brings me to my next point…

Where to Buy Modafinil Online in Australia | 2020 Guide

You may be wondering where you can buy Modafinil online in Australia. Well, you’re in luck. That’s where I come in.
I’ve bought from over a half dozen Modafinil vendors over the years. I know who has legit product, fast shipping times, and reliable customer services.
Plus, I know which pharmacy has the fastest shipping to Australia! If you want to get buy Modafinil online from down under, the vendors below make it pretty easy.
So without further ado, here’s where to buy Modafinil in Australia:

I’ve quickly become a huge fan of BuyModa.
These guys offer impressive customer service, massive Bitcoin discounts, and guaranteed delivery. You either get your generic Modafinil or you get a full refund/ reshipment. Your choice.
There’s no risk on your part.
And here’s the kicker:
— I’ve yet to see customer service like this from a Modafinil vendor —
These guys do an incredible job pleasing their customer in Australia.
Fast email support, 24/7 chat, and more. Their website is easy to use and their prices are great. I’m talking some of the absolute best deals on nootropics for Australians.
Oh, and don’t forget about the massive Bitcoin discount of 35% off! Yes, you read that right…35% off any order with cryptocurrency.
Plus, you get 3o free Modafinil tablets with every order over $100 USD from Buy Moda. To even further increase your savings here.
Most orders from Buy Moda will arrive within 6-14 days while in Australia. That’s pretty quick!
Overall, Buy Moda is a great Modafinil vendor for Australians — one that offers incredibly low prices, fast shipping, and some of the best customer service in the industry.

If you’re buying Modafinil and smart drugs in Australia, then Modafinil XL is a great place to check out too.
These guys offer great prices, some of the best customer services you’ll find when buying Modafinil, and rapid shipping to Australia.
Modafinil XL offers 7-10 day delivery in Australia.
That’s fast. You’ll have your Modafinil in about a week when ordering from these guys — all the way down under!
Plus, Modafinil XL offers guaranteed delivery to Australia! You’ll either get your Modafinil order or you’ll get a full refund/reshipment. It’s your choice and there’s legit no risk when ordering.
The smart drugs, Modafinil and Armodafinil, you get from Modafinil XL will be legit products and offer massive cognitive benefits.
I’ve personally tested their products through two orders with these guys.
Finally, Modafinil XL offers great Bitcoin discounts. You can save up to 35% off your order when combining these coupons.
Overall…
I couldn’t recommend Modafinil XL enough to Australians looking to buy nootropics!

Shipping Modafinil | Australia Edition

It’s easy to assume that shipping Modafinil to Australia would cause issues with customs throughout the country.
That doesn’t appear to be the case.
Here’s why:
Modafinil may be a schedule 4 drug in Australia, but possession may not be considered completely illegal.
There’s a public list of controlled substances in the country published by The Office of Drug Control in Australia.
The list contains any and substances that are banned from importation into the country without permission.
Modafinil is conveniently not on this list!
Aka shipping Modafinil to Australia for personal use is not technically illegal.
The TGA does state that prescription drugs purchases online require a copy of the prescription from the seller. If your Modafinil order is confiscated upon importing, the Modafinil can be held until a prescription is submitted.
If you don’t submit the prescription within a certain timeframe, the contents of the package will be destroyed.
But here’s the thing…
This rarely, if ever, happens.
Schedule 4 pharmaceutical drugs like Modafinil generally make it past customs security without a single issue or problem.
It’s why the best Modafinil vendors offer guaranteed delivery to the country without even thinking about it.
Customs officials in Australia are more concerned with illicit drugs, like cocaine and heroin, than an individual trying to boost cognition through pharmaceutical drugs and nootropics.
As of writing, I’m unaware of a SINGLE instance of someone having legal trouble for importing Modafinil for personal use in Australia.
I’m no lawyer, but you needn’t worry about buying Modafinil and Armodafinil online in Australia.
Furthermore…
Most Modafinil orders in Australia will arrive within 5-15 business days – depending on the vendor selected, product chosen, and location within the country.
Pretty quick if you ask me.

Generic Modafinil and Armodafinil in Australia

If you get a prescription from the doctor in Australia, you’ll be able to buy Modafinil from a pharmacy in the country.
Once you have a prescription, you can go to the pharmacy and get Modafinil under names like:
These are brand name Modafinil products sold in pharmacies in Australia.
For Australians looking to order Modafinil online, common generic Modafinil products include:
These generic forms of Modafinil all do a damn good job. In fact, generic Modafinil and Armodafinil compare well with brand name products.
There’s not much of a difference between Provigil and Modalert.
Plus, after testing all four of these generic products, I have a few recommendations for Australians and those living in the country.
Modalert is the stronger generic Modafinil brand in Australia. I highly recommend it. Modvigil is a cheap alternative for Australians looking for Modafinil.
When looking for Modafinil’s little cousin Armodafinil, I prefer Waklert. However, Artvigil is a little bit cheaper.
Overall, I stick with Modalert and Waklert for good reason. I’ve found them to be superior products and recommend them for anyone looking to buy Modafinil online in Australia.

Adrafinil in Australia, Prescription-Free Alternative

Now, some of you may be looking for a 100% legal alternative to Modafinil. While I’m confident you won’t have any issues getting your hands on Modafinil while living in Australia, many people want another option.
I get that, which is why I recommend Adrafinil, too.
Adrafinil is a 100% legal and over-the-counter smart drug. It’s a legit Modafinil alternative.
Why? Because the body essentially converts Adrafinil to the active ingredient in Modafinil after ingestion (Source).
As such, it takes a little bit longer for Adrafinil to kick in than Modafinil. The smart drug also isn’t nearly as strong as Modafinil due to how it works.
Overall, Adrafinil is an ok option if you don’t want to use Modafinil. But Modafinil is the king of smart drugs for a reason – it’s the best thing out there.

Other Nootropics

If you’re curious about other nootropics in Australia and potential Modafinil alternatives, I’ve got a couple more ideas for you.
Just know that Modafinil is the ‘King’ and Armodafinil in Australia is the ‘Queen’ when talking nootropics.
Hell, Adrafinil is the ‘Prince’ to take that little analogy one step further.
There’s still some other nootropics in Australia that can be worthwhile alternatives. Here’s a few of my favorites:

The Verdict? | Australia Edition

That’s about it, mate.
Pretty much everything you’d need to know about how to buy Modafinil in Australia.
From legalities to down under, we covered it throughout this entertaining guide.
If you have any questions, comments, or concerns about buying Modafinil online in Australia, sound off below and I’ll get back to you with some type of answer.

A DuckDuckGo search produces several other press mentions, including:

Technology

This section is a basic rundown of the user-visible site technology.

Mobile Web

The site is not natively accessible from a mobile Web browser as it is overlayed with a promotion for the mobile application instead. Selecting "Desktop View" in most mobile browsers should allow browser-based access.

Mobile App

There are both Android and iOS apps for MeWe. I've used neither of these, though the App store entries note:
Crunchbase cites 209,220 mobile downloads over the past 30 days (via Apptopia), an 80.78% monthly growth rate, from Google Play.

Desktop Web

Either selecting "View Desktop" or navigating with a Desktop browser to https://www.mewe.com your are presented with a registration screen, with the "About", "Privacy Bill of Rights", "MeWe Challenge", and a language selector across the top of the page. Information requested are first and last name, phone or email, and a password. Pseudonymous identities are permitted, though this isn't noted on the login screen. Returning members can use the "Member Log In" button.
The uMatrix Firefox extension reveals no third-party content: all page elements are served from mewe.com, img.mewe.com, cdn.mewe.com, or ws.mewe.com. (In subsequent browsing, you may find third-party plugins from, for example, YouTube, for videos, or Giphy, for animated GIFs.)
The web front-end is nginx. The site uses SSL v3, issued by DigiCert Inc. to Sgrouples, Inc.

Onboarding

The onboarding experience is stark. There is no default content presented. A set of unidentified icons spans the top of the screen, these turn out to be Home, Chats, Groups, Pages, and Events. New users have to, somehow, find groups or people to connect with, and there's little guidance as to how to do this.

Interface

Generally there is a three panel view, with left- and right-hand sidebars of largely navigational or status information, and a central panel with main content. There are also pop-up elements for chats, an omnipresent feature of the site.
Controls display labels on some devices and/or resolutions. Controls do not provide tooltips for navigational aid.

Features

Among the touted features of MeWe are:

Community

A key aspect of any social network is its community. Some of the available or ascertained information on this follows.

Size

Weinstein claims a "million+ following inside MeWe.com" on Twitter.
The largest visible groups appear to have a maximum of around 15,000 members , for "Awesome gifs". "Clean Comedy" rates 13,350, and the largest open political groups, 11,000+ members.
This compares to Google+ which has a staggering, though Android-registrations-inflated 3.3 billion profiles, and 7.9 million communities, though the largest of these come in at under 10 million members. It's likely that MeWe's membership is on the whole more more active than Google+'s, where generally-visible posting activity was limited to just over 9% of all profiles, and the active user base was well under 1% of the total nominal population.

Active Users

MeWe do not publish active users (e.g., MUA / monthly active users) statistics.

Groups

MeWe is principally a group-oriented discussion site -- interactions take place either between individuals or within group contexts. Virtually all discovery is group-oriented. The selection and dynamics of groups on the site will likely strongly affect user experience, so exploring the available groups and their characteristics is of interest.
"MeWe has over 60,000 open groups" according to its FAQ.
The Open groups -- visible to any registered MeWe user, though not to the general public Web -- are browsable, though sections and topics must be expanded to view the contents: an overview isn't immediately accessible. We provide a taste here.
A selection of ten featured topics spans the top of the browser. As I view these, they are:
Specific groups may appear in multiple categories.
The top Groups within these topics have, variously, 15,482, 7,738, 15,482 (dupe), 7,745, 8,223, 8,220, 1,713, 9,527, 2,716, and 1,516 members. Listings scroll at length -- the Music topic has 234 Groups, ranging in size from 5 to 5,738 members, with a median of 59, mean of 311.4, and a 90%ile of 743.5.
Below this is a grid of topics, 122 in all, ranging from Activism to Wellness, and including among them. A selected sample of these topics, with top groups listed members in (parens), follows:
To be clear: whilst I've not included every topic, I've sampled a majority of them above, and listed not an arbitrary selection, but the top few Groups under each topic.

Google+ Groups

The Google Plus expats group seems the most active of these by far.

Political Groups

It's curious that MeWe make a specific point in their FAQ that:
At MeWe we have absolutely no political agenda and we have a very straightforward Terms of Service. MeWe is for all law-abiding people everywhere in the world, regardless of political, ethnic, religious, sexual, and other preferences.
There are 403 political groups on MeWe. I won't list them all here, but the first 100 or so give a pretty clear idea of flavour. Again, membership is in (parentheses). Note that half the total political Groups memberships are in the first 21 groups listed here, the first 6 are 25% of the total.

It seems there is relatively little representation from the left wing, or even the centre, of the political spectrum. A case-insensitive match for "liberal" turns up:
Mainstream political parties are little represented, though again, the balance seems skewed searching on "(democrat|republic|gop)":
The terms "left" and "right" provide a few matches, not all strictly political-axis aligned:
Socialism and Communism also warrant a few mentions:
And there are some references to green, laboulabor parties:

Conclusion

Whilst there may not be a political agenda, there does appear to be at least a slight political bias to the site. And a distinctive skew on many other topical subjects.
Those seeking new homes online may wish to take this into account.

I wrote a 30,000 ft. "executive summary" intro document for cryptos. Not for you, for your non-technical parents or friends.

This document was originally written for my dad, an intelligent guy who was utterly baffled about the cryptocurrency world. The aim was to be extremely concise, giving a broad overview of the industry and some popular coins while staying non-technical. For many of you there will be nothing new here, but recognize that you are in the 0.001% of the population heavily into crypto technology.
I've reproduced it for Reddit below, or you can find the original post here on my website. Download the PDF there or hit the direct link: .PDF version.

Background

This document is purely informational. At the time of writing there are over 1000 cryptocurrencies (“cryptos”) in a highly volatile, high risk market. Many of the smaller “altcoins” require significant technical knowledge to store and transact safely. I advise you to carefully scrutinize each crypto’s flavor of blockchain, potential utility, team of developers, and guiding philosophy, before making any investment [1] decisions. With that out of the way, what follows are brief, extremely high-level summaries of some cryptos which have my interest, listed in current market cap order. But first, some info:
Each crypto is a different implementation of a blockchain network. Originally developed as decentralized digital cash, these technologies have evolved into much broader platforms, powering the future of decentralized applications across every industry in the global economy. Without getting into the weeds, [2] most cryptos work on similar principles:
Distributed Ledgers Each node on a blockchain network has a copy of every transaction, which enables a network of trust that eliminates fraud. [3]
Decentralized “Miners” comprise the infrastructure of a blockchain network. [4] They are monetarily incentivized to add computing power to the network, simultaneously securing and processing each transaction. [5]
Peer-to-peer Cryptos act like digital cash-- they require no third party to transact and are relatively untraceable. Unlike cash, you can back them up.
Global Transactions are processed cheaply and instantly, anywhere on Earth. Using cryptos, an African peasant and a San Francisco engineer have the same access to capital, markets, and network services.
Secure Blockchains are predicated on the same cryptographic technology that secures your sensitive data and government secrets. They have passed seven years of real-world penetration testing with no failures. [6]

Bitcoin (BTC)

The first cryptocurrency. As with first movers in any technology, there are associated pros and cons. Bitcoin has by far the strongest brand recognition and deepest market penetration, and it is the only crypto which can be used directly as a currency at over 100,000 physical and web stores around the world. In Venezuela and Zimbabwe, where geopolitical events have created hyperinflation in the centralized fiat currency, citizens have moved to Bitcoin as a de facto transaction standard. [7]
However, Bitcoin unveiled a number of issues that have been solved by subsequent cryptos. It is experiencing significant scaling issues, resulting in high fees and long confirmation times. The argument over potential solutions created a rift in the Bitcoin developer community, who “forked” the network into two separate blockchains amidst drama and politicking in October 2017. Potential solutions to these issues abound, with some already in place, and others nearing deployment.
Bitcoin currently has the highest market cap, and since it is easy to buy with fiat currency, the price of many smaller cryptos (“altcoins”) are loosely pegged to its price. This will change in the coming year(s).

Ethereum (ETH)

Where Bitcoin is a currency, Ethereum is a platform, designed as a foundational protocol on which to develop decentralized applications (“Dapps”). Anyone can write code and deploy their program on the global network for extremely low fees. Just like Twitter wouldn’t exist without the open platform of the internet, the next world-changing Dapp can’t exist without Ethereum.
Current Dapps include a global market for idle computing power and storage, peer-to-peer real estate transactions (no trusted third party for escrow), identity networks for governments and corporations (think digital Social Security card), and monetization strategies for the internet which replace advertising. Think back 10 years to the advent of smartphones, and then to our culture today-- Ethereum could have a similar network effect on humanity.
Ethereum is currently the #2 market cap crypto below Bitcoin, and many believe it will surpass it in 2018. It has a large, active group of developers working to solve scaling issues, [8] maintain security, and create entirely new programming conventions. If successful, platforms like Ethereum may well be the foundation of the decentralized internet of the future.

Ripple (XRP)

Ripple is significantly more centralized than most crypto networks, designed as a backbone for the global banking and financial technology (“fintech”) industries. It is a network for exchanging between fiat currencies and other asset classes instantly and cheaply, especially when transacting cross-border and between separate institutions. It uses large banks and remittance companies as “anchors” to allow trading between any asset on the network, and big names like Bank of America, American Express, RBC, and UBS are partners. The utility of this network is global and massive in scale.
It is extremely important to note that not all cryptos have the same number of tokens. Ripple has 100 Billion tokens compared to Bitcoin’s 21 Million. Do not directly compare price between cryptos. XRP will likely never reach $1k, [9] but the price will rise commensurate with its utility as a financial tool.
In some sense, Ripple is anathema to the original philosophical vision of this technology space. And while I agree with the cyberpunk notion of decentralized currencies, separation of money and state, this is the natural progression of the crypto world. The internet was an incredible decentralized wild west of Usenet groups and listservs before Eternal September and the dot-com boom, but its maturation affected every part of global society.

Cardano (ADA)

Cardano’s main claim to fame: it is the only crypto developed using academic methodologies by a global collective of engineers and researchers, built on a foundation of industry-leading, peer-reviewed cryptographic research. The network was designed from first-principles to allow scalability, system upgrades, and to balance the privacy of its users with the security needs of regulators.
One part of this ecosystem is the Cardano Foundation, a Swiss non-profit founded to work proactively with governments and regulatory bodies to institute legal frameworks around the crypto industry. Detractors of Cardano claim that it doesn’t do anything innovative, but supporters see the academic backing and focus on regulation development as uniquely valuable.

Stellar Lumens (XLM)

Stellar Lumens and Ripple were founded by the same person. They initially shared the same code, but today the two are distinct in their technical back-end as well as their guiding philosophy and development goals. Ripple is closed-source, for-profit, deflationary, and intended for use by large financial institutions. Stellar is open-source, non-profit, inflationary, and intended to promote international wealth distribution. As such, they are not direct competitors.
IBM is a major partner to Stellar. Their network is already processing live transactions in 12 currency corridors across the South Pacific, with plans to process 60% of all cross-border payments in the South Pacific’s retail foreign exchange corridor by Q2 2018.
Beyond its utility as a financial tool, the Stellar network may become a competitor to Ethereum as a platform for application development and Initial Coin Offerings (“ICOs”). The theoretical maximum throughput for the network is higher, and it takes less computational power to run. The Stellar development team is highly active, has written extensive documentation for third-party developers, and has an impressive list of advisors, including Patrick Collison (Stripe), Sam Altman (Y Combinator), and other giants in the software development community.

Iota (IOT)

Iota was developed as the infrastructure backbone for the Internet of Things (IoT), sometimes called the machine economy. As the world of inanimate objects is networked together, their need to communicate grows exponentially. Fridges, thermostats, self-driving cars, printers, planes, and industrial sensors all need a secure protocol with which to transact information.
Iota uses a “Tangle” instead of a traditional blockchain, and this is the main innovation driving the crypto’s value. Each device that sends a transaction confirms two other transactions in the Tanlge. This removes the need for miners, and enables unique features like zero fees and infinite scalability. The supply of tokens is fixed forever at 2.8*1015, a staggeringly large number (almost three thousand trillion), and the price you see reported is technically “MIOT”, or the price for a million tokens.

Monero (XMR)

The most successful privacy-focused cryptocurrency. In Bitcoin and most other cryptos, anyone can examine the public ledger and trace specific coins through the network. If your identity can be attached to a public address on that network, an accurate picture of your transaction history can be built-- who, what, and when. Monero builds anonymity into the system using strong cryptographic principles, which makes it functionally impossible to trace coins, [10] attach names to wallets, or extract metadata from transactions. The development team actively publishes in the cryptography research community.
Anonymous transactions are not new-- we call it cash. Only in the past two decades has anonymity grown scarce in the first-world with the rise of credit cards and ubiquitous digital records. Personal data is becoming the most valuable resource on Earth, and there are many legitimate reasons for law-abiding citizens to want digital privacy, but it is true that with anonymity comes bad actors-- Monero is the currency of choice for the majority of black market (“darknet”) transactions. Similarly, US Dollars are the main vehicle for the $320B annual drug trade. An investment here should be based on the underlying cryptographic research and technology behind this coin, as well as competitors like Zcash. [11]

RaiBlocks (XRB)

Zero fees and instantaneous transfer make RaiBlocks extremely attractive for exchange of value, in many senses outperforming Bitcoin at its original intended purpose. This crypto has seen an explosion in price and exposure over the past month, and it may become the network of choice for transferring value within and between crypto exchanges.
Just in the first week of 2018: the CEO of Ledger (makers of the most popular hardware wallet on the market) waived the $50k code review fee to get RaiBlocks on his product, and XRB got listed on Binance and Kucoin, two of the largest altcoin exchanges globally. This is one to watch for 2018. [12]

VeChain (VEN)

Developed as a single answer to the problem of supply-chain logistics, VeChain is knocking on the door of a fast-growing $8 trillion industry. Every shipping container and packaged product in the world requires constant tracking and verification. A smart economy for logistics built on the blockchain promises greater efficiency and lower cost through the entire process flow.
Don’t take my word for it-- VeChain has investment from PwC (5th largest US corporation), Groupe Renault, Kuehne & Nagel (world’s largest freight company), and DIG (China’s largest wine importer). The Chinese government has mandated VeChain to serve as blockchain technology partner to the city of Gui’an, a special economic zone and testbed for China’s smart city of the future. This crypto has some of the strongest commercial partnerships in the industry, and a large active development team.
  1. “Investment” is a misnomer. Cryptos are traded like securities, but grant you no equity (like trading currency).
  2. The weeds for Bitcoin: basic intro (1:36), non-technical explanation (5:24), Bitcoin 101 – Andreas Antonopoulos (23:51).
  3. It is impossible to double-spend or create a fake transaction, as each ledger is confirmed against every other ledger.
  4. Some utility token blockchains use DAG networks or similar non-linear networks which don’t require mining.
  5. In practice, these are giant warehouses full of specialized computers constantly processing transactions. Miners locate to the cheapest electricity source, and the bulk of mining currently occurs in China.
  6. Centralized second-layer exchange websites have been hacked, but the core technology is untouched.
  7. This effect has been termed "bitcoinization".
  8. The Ethereum roadmap shows moving from a Proof of Work (PoW) to Proof of Stake (PoS) consensus model.
  9. At $2.62 per XRP token, Ripple already commands a $100B market cap.
  10. After a January 2017 update.
  11. Monero uses ring signatures while Zcash uses ZK-SNARKs to create anonymity. Both have pros and cons.
  12. Note: all signs point to this crypto being renamed “Nano” in the coming weeks: nano.co.

Trump's Space Force, NESARA and the Mark of the Beast

Before you read any of this I need to clarify that I'm not a Christian but there is truth in the Bible just like there is truth in almost all religions. You just have to know how to pluck it out from all the bullshit. This is also an expansion of my other post.
https://www.reddit.com/conspiracy/comments/8tuwr1/what_do_these_2_very_obvious_signs_say_to_you/
Trump's "Space Force' is not just some dumb idea he has. I think it's foolish to believe that. When Trump repeats certain big ideas, they are never impulsive or his. Someone planted them in his head just the right way and he ends up believing he came up with it. Just like he claims he came up with all sorts of things that he indeed did not. That's the genius of getting people to believe everything Trumps says and to not believe anything the media says or anybody who speaks out against him. Now whoever is really in control of Puppet Trump can filter their ideas through him and everyone follows right along. The Reagan similarities are WAY too eerie to ignore and this space program is just one of many. There's also the fact that 25 scientists mysteriously died over an 8 year period who worked on that "Star Wars" program.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GEC-Marconi_scientist_deaths_conspiracy_theory
https://youtu.be/BDA3gGBzMKA
This woman named Carol Rosin claimed in 2001 (I think) that there would be an attempt to build weapons in space and a fake alien invasion would happen.
https://youtu.be/Eix9mMrPPmE
If you look at the information in this link, you'll see how this plan supposedly is playing out.
https://in5d.com/are-the-ruling-elite-about-to-play-the-last-card/
I think it's ALL apart of the plan. Carol's warning included. She's like controlled opposition. I think the alien/spiritual Ascension stuff is probably true but that information will be used against us. There is a "Great Awakening" happening and Q anon is attaching Trump to it to try and hijack it and lead people down the wrong path. I'm seeing all sorts of people do this that have good ideas but attach all of this to him. From Candace Owens, Kanye, Dave Rubin to an extent, people in these Ascension/spiritual communities. They all think that since Trump is tearing the whole thing down and people are becoming more aware of the world's evils, that means he must be good. It's a trick, pro wrestling.
The awakening is happening by itself. If Trump has anything to do with it, he's making people want to be the complete opposite of him. Trump is here to lead the awakening astray, like lambs to the slaughter. Either that, or he's going to get assassinated or taken out during the coming conflict and Obama will be put back into the presidency and he'll be the one to lead the lambs to the slaughter because of how safe everyone will feel now that Trump and his supporters are gone.
Revelations 17
12 “The ten horns you saw are ten kings who have not yet received a kingdom, but who for one hour will receive authority as kings along with the beast. 13 They have one purpose and will give their power and authority to the beast. 14 They will wage war against the Lamb, but the Lamb will triumph over them because he is Lord of lords and King of kings—and with him will be his called, chosen and faithful followers.”
15 Then the angel said to me, “The waters you saw, where the prostitute sits, are peoples, multitudes, nations and languages. 16 The beast and the ten horns you saw will hate the prostitute. They will bring her to ruin and leave her naked; they will eat her flesh and burn her with fire. 17 For God has put it into their hearts to accomplish his purpose by agreeing to hand over to the beast their royal authority, until God’s words are fulfilled. 18 The woman you saw is the great city that rules over the kings of the earth.”
Verses 10 and 11 confuse the fuck out of me but I think I may have found something relating to verse 12. These 10 kings that do not yet have a kingdom and give their authority to kill the Whore of Babylon.
Ok so what does this have to do with these 10 kings without a kingdom? Well Carol is trying to get a treaty signed by NINE world leaders. Nine is in all caps in this link repeatedly.
https://www.peaceinspace.com/index.php/en/
https://youtu.be/NWWRf02CgN4
Could this be the real "covenant of many" that the book of Daniel speaks about? The chapter in Revelations describes what looks like a deal being made with the beast and these 10 kings. They even show the symbol of the UN in the video and talk about getting it ratified through them to make law. Now I'm not sure if it's 10 kings + the Antichrist or its 9 + the Antichrist making it 10 total. But maybe someone else gets added after the initial 9.
So lets say aliens do come. What happens next? Take a look at this passage.
Daniel 11
37 He will show no regard for the gods of his ancestors or for the one desired by women, nor will he regard any god, but will exalt himself above them all. 38 Instead of them, he will honor a god of fortresses; a god unknown to his ancestors he will honor with gold and silver, with precious stones and costly gifts. 39 He will attack the mightiest fortresses with the help of a foreign god and will greatly honor those who acknowledge him. He will make them rulers over many people and will distribute the land at a price.
I've been researching what it means by saying "he will honor a god of fortresses ("god of forces" in the KJV); a god unknown to his ancestors" and "He will attack the mightiest fortresses with the help of a foreign god ("strange god" in the KJV) and will greatly honor those who acknowledge him". One interpretation is it just means he will basically worship war and strength. Meaning he just loves to go to war. Which sounds like it makes a lot of sense. But where it doesn't hold up is the second part that says "with the help of a foreign/strange god". War certainly isn't foreign or strange. Yahweh loved war. And what exactly is a "foreign" or "strange" god? Especially after it says "He will show no regard for the gods of his ancestors or for the one desired by women, nor will he regard any god, but will exalt himself above them all". So I take that to mean that every god that the Earth has ever heard of, the Antichrist will exalt himself above them all. Well what gods are left when you've exalted yourself above them all and what kind of god would you even honor after you do that and think so highly of yourself? A god that is foreign apparently. But foreign/strange to what if all the gods known to the people of the Earth don't apply?
You can only conclude these strange gods are from outer space. They would certainly cause you to worship them. Especially if you're the chosen leader that they want to speak to. I've heard this theory as far back as my childhood. The point of the alien invasion is to get everyone to stop believing all of their current religions and follow whatever the aliens say. They'll come promising to help humanity but it will all be a ruse to get you to follow the Antichrist. This is the exact same thing the Ascension communities speak about, except they believe it's not a ruse. And they don't believe in the coming of an Antichrist or an "End Times". It's a new beginning, a paradigm shift to a higher consciousness. Apocalypse actually means "an uncovering"or a disclosure of knowledge or revelation.
Paul speaks about the possibility of a ruse being played on humanity here:
2 Corinthians
3 But I am afraid that just as Eve was deceived by the serpent’s cunning, your minds may somehow be led astray from your sincere and pure devotion to Christ. 4 For if someone comes to you and preaches a Jesus other than the Jesus we preached, or if you receive a different spirit from the Spirit you received, or a different gospel from the one you accepted, you put up with it easily enough.
For such people are false apostles, deceitful workers, masquerading as apostles of Christ. 14 And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. 15 It is not surprising, then, if his servants also masquerade as servants of righteousness.
Satan masquerades as an angle of light. The people of the Ascension communities claim to be light workers. These aliens, should they come, will no doubt present themselves as beings of light. These Ascension people speak about this a lot and some claim to be in contact with these beings. Even creating rival factions among themselves as to which side are the real good guys and who are the evil ones. It's kind of bizarre actually and hard to sift through all the bullshit to tell who is being deceived and who isn't. These people are obviously in contact with something. That's the conclusion I've come to from reading a bunch of stuff they've said. Take a shortcut and do some DMT if you want to contact some other worldly beings yourself. Now as to what the nature of the contacts is, good or bad? Hard to tell. There is a website https://ascensionglossary.com/index.php/Main_Page that seems to have the most accurate and evil agenda-free information I can find but the woman who writes it seems pretty off to me. Everything she could be saying could be 100% true just to hook people so she can be used to promote a giant lie when the time comes.
What might be this giant lie? NESARA. This is a short passage from this link about how the Ascension community explains NESARA.
https://goldenageofgaia.com/building-nova-earth-toward-a-world-that-works-for-everyone/nesara-or-the-abundance-program/15332-2/
The acronym NESARA stands for “National Economic Security and Reformation Act.” The Act was passed by the American Congress in the year 2000 and never proclaimed, for reasons we will touch upon shortly.
As a program, NESARA can be viewed from several perspectives.
As a spiritually-directed financial program, it traces back to the work of St.Germain and three other ascended masters. That work began in the Fifteenth Century and was designed to provide a new economic system for the world during the present time of transition.
NESARA is designed to erase poverty and all its attendant ills from Earth during a transitional period preceding Ascension so that the planet’s sovereign citizens can focus their attention on planetary transformation.
Here is what Wikipedia says about it. More relevant info in the link.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NESARA
National Economic Security and Recovery Act (NESARA) was a set of proposed economic reforms suggested during the 1990s by Harvey Francis Barnard. Barnard claimed that the proposals, which included replacing the income tax with a national sales tax, abolishing compound interest on secured loans, and returning to a bimetallic currency, would result in 0% inflation and a more stable economy. The proposals were never introduced before Congress.
Harvey Francis Barnard, a Louisiana graduate in systems philosophy, and an engineering consultant and teacher, created the NESARA proposal during the late 1980s and early 1990s. He printed 1000 copies of his proposal, titled Draining the Swamp: Monetary and Fiscal Policy Reform (1996), and sent copies to members of Congress, believing it would pass quickly on its merits. Based on a theory that debt is the number one economic factor inhibiting the growth of the economy, and compound interest the number one "moral evil" and reason for debt, Barnard made several other attempts during the 1990s to draw political attention to the problems he saw in the US economy, and his suggested economic recovery proposal based on the root causes he determined. After these did not succeed, he decided in 2000 to release the proposal to the public domain and publish it on the internet. Barnard established the NESARA Institute in 2001, and published the 2nd edition of his book in 2005, retitling it Draining the Swamp: The NESARA Story – Monetary and Fiscal Policy Reform.
After Goodwin began commenting on NESARA, other internet-based conspiracy theorists latched onto it. One supporter, Sheldan Nidle, ties the imminent NESARA announcement into his years-old prophecy of an imminent large scale UFO visitation by benevolent aliens (occasionally on his website reports, but more prominently in his videos, seminars and public appearances). Jennifer Lee, who used to publish internet NESARA status reports almost daily on her now defunct site, discussed a host of other-worldly and "interdimensional" beings who are helping behind the scenes to get NESARA announced. Internet evangelist Sherry Shriner, who operates many websites, sees NESARA as linked to malevolent reptiloid aliens she feels have long controlled the U.S. Government.
Notice a familiar phrase in there? Draining the Swamp. The use of phrases and group chanting is a common way to open people up to brainwashing and to condition them. Trump even talks about how they (the people running his campaign) wanted him to use the phrase and he didn't like it but people responded to it so he started to love it ("I even started to say it like I actually meant it!"). Gee... Funny how that works with him. All it takes is the response of a crowd to get him to do what you want. Just plant an idea in his head, have him say it at a rally and watch him get hooked on the cheers like a drug. Just like him leading the birther movement was all because he was told to talk about the idea that Obama might not be born in the US and the crowd went nuts for it. From then on, he was hooked on the narcissistic supply he got from talking about it, setting himself up as the adversary to Obama years before he became president and psychologically attaching the pathological Obama haters (future Trump supporters) to him.
Think about how fucking outright frightening this is. We have a man, purely driven by the response from a select group of people, being influenced by who the fuck knows to push certain ideas and the response of this select group of people determine whether or not he continues pursuing the idea. This select group of people are, at the same time, being conditioned to ONLY trust this one man and are told that all other sources that speak against him are just lies to try to lead you astray from a promised Golden Age of America. This means that sooner or later, literally anything he says will get the response he needs to feed on and it will just be taken as fact no matter what that what he says goes. Q anon's common chant is "Where we go one, we go all!" I wonder where they're all going? Take a look at this list of brainwashing techniques and tell me a lot of this doesn't sound like exactly whats happened to Trump supporters.
https://listverse.com/2016/04/29/top-10-brainwashing-and-mind-control-techniques/
So back to NESARA. What's so nefarious about NESARA?
Revelation 13
16It also forced all people, great and small, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hands or on their foreheads, 17 so that they could not buy or sell unless they had the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of its name.
18 This calls for wisdom. Let the person who has insight calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man. That number is 666.
Since NESARA is suppose to be a law that goes into effect all around the world, we can connect these two concepts together and it makes a lot of sense. Now what kind of mark would not allow you to buy and sell if you didn't have it that would be detrimental to your ability to join the Kingdom of Heaven? Since the Bible says whoever takes the mark burns forever in the abyss. Well after the Equifax hack, the White House has openly stated that they are looking for alternatives to Social Security Numbers because they are easily stolen and then you are just fucked.
The White House and Equifax Agree: Social Security Numbers Should Go - October 3, 2017
https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2017-10-03/white-house-and-equifax-agree-social-security-numbers-should-go
So what's the solution? The common solution talked about is using blockchain technology like Bitcoin does.

And apparently, Estonia is well on it's way to incorporating blockchain into all areas of the country.

Well the challenge with all this is identity theft. Where is the information stored on someone's person that can't be easily stolen or hacked? A card can be lost and a phone can be hacked. Well an Israeli company has been working on something pretty interesting.

DNAtix has completed the first Proof Of Concept (POC) test by transferring the complete genome sequence of a virus over the Ethereum Blockchain. This test is a key milestone and the company believes that it is the first time that anyone has successfully transferred a DNA sequence over a blockchain.
Now, they say they are doing this for the purpose of sharing genetic information anonymously and maybe they are. But all things that start out for good purposes will get subverted for evil if it can be. So how does this relate to 666 and denying your ability to access the Kingdom of Heaven? Carbon has 6 protons, 6 electrons and 6 neutrons, 666. It's obviously the basis for all life on Earth. The number of humanity. One of foundational elements for the material world. Now what would cause a person to be stuck in the material world and not allow them to ascend to heaven? Genetic manipulation of the DNA would be something to consider I would think. It is my opinion that when NESARA is implemented, it will require a genetic marker (Mark of the Beast) to be implemented into people's DNA which will have all their financial information and most likely all their other information too.
